This isn't uncommon. Poshy i believe but something together that was similiar. I have heard of some MLG players doing the same.

He's actually made at a challenge now, if you are participating you're supposed to wear the broadsword shader. He also specifically asked it not be mentioned on bungie forums because so many people dislike him here... Oops, lol.
