This is what I predict will be the Forge of Gods DLC, as well as some suggestions that I want Bungie to implement into that DLC.
Story
I predict that the Cabal have made a breakthrough in technology and are learning how to harness the power of the darkness. You must stop them before they make it their weapon, and forge themselves into gods. Also, there is yet another legion we haven't fought yet, called the Ice Reapers, so I think there will be new missions on Jupiter's moon, Europa. One thing the light and the darkness has in common is that they both have 3 forms: Arc, Solar, and Void. You face 3 Psion Flayers in the Dust Palace strike, one of Arc, one of Solar, and one of Void. They were also able to inflict some serious damage on Rasputin. If they were able to put a warmind at that much risk, the Cabal have already learned to use a fraction of what the the darkness is capable of. The Cabal were also responsible for altering Phobos's orbit, making it way closer to Mars. One of Destiny's concept art pictures shows a bunch of pyramid ships shooting some sort of energy at the ground. At first, I thought it was Mars, but Mars is in the background. Whatever ground they are shooting this energy at, it has to be Phobos.
If you look at the Cabal structures, you will see many wires and tubes everywhere. The Cabal are definitely working on building some sort of horrible machine or device. According to the grimoire, all of the legions we've fought so far are nothing but stray renegade forces. Somewhere far away, there is a vast empire. Whatever the Cabal on Mars are building, I think there are 2 possibilities. It is either a weapon of mass destruction, or a way of contacting the empire, summoning them to this solar system. I have a feeling that one of the story missions on Mars will be about shutting down that communication device before they can contact the true might of their power.
According to the grimoire, all of the legions of Cabal we've fought so far have been far away from their empire for ages. Some of them, mainly the Sand Eaters, are weary and question whether or not the war they are fighting is really worth it. They fight amongst each other ferociously, whether or not to obey their ancient orders from that distant empire. What I think happened is that before the collapse, the Cabal actually had control over the darkness at a small point in time, but then something went horribly wrong, as the darkness grew stronger, wiping out all human civilization and destroying all Cabal communications with the rest of their empire. The collapse had taken a heavy toll on the Cabal as well, and a lot of the Sand Eaters don't think it's worth trying again. However, the other legions are driven mad with power, as they try once again, to gain control of the darkness.
After the Traveler pushed back the darkness, putting itself in critical condition in the process, only one fragment of the darkness remained on Mars. The Vex found it and built a shrine around it, splicing it into it's own pocket of space an time. This shrine became known as the Black Garden. They studied the heart of the Black Garden and did several tests. Not even a race as advanced as the Vex could even come close to understanding what it was. The only solution they saw was to worship it and recreate themselves in its image. The reason why the Cabal are at war with the Vex is because they are fighting over control of the darkness. The Vex want to protect their dark god, and the Cabal want their ultimate weapon back.

Other things I want to see in FoG
I want there to be way more types of vehicles, including multi person vehicles, like a Halo Warthog. I also want there to be arial vehicles like Halo Banshees. This would make Combined Arms way more interesting, rather than just having a total snipe fest.
