Xanatos (first pupil to Qui-Gon Jinn)
The original story for him was brilliant, how Jinn left him for dead because he feared what Young Xanatos would become if he carried on training, not long after Obi-Wan became his apprentice Jinn received a message from Xanatos and after leading him on a chase Xan nearly killed Obi-Wan before he joined the Sith properly

Wasn't there a novel called Secretes of the Jedi about that, or something? I read it ages ago so I'm not sure.

Is the Jedi apprentice series the one that follows Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon and it has like 20 books and they're all about 100 pages long?

That's the one, started not long after phantom menace came out, I only got to read three of them and Xan was in the first book, liked him purely for his name at the start xD

I read two of then and got into a third I think but I never finished it. They were pretty good from what I remember.

It's sadly no longer canon lore, but the idea of obi wan being expelled from the academy to be a moisture farmer was good, it explains a lot when he becomes older and calms down passing the same knowledge to Anakin and Luke
