I got this gun as a random drop this week, and I was going to throw it away... but I noticed Bungie did something different with it.
The weapon now has slightly higher impact and lower fire rate; it's now more in line with auto-rifles like the Shingen-E or Up For Anything, which I remember being pretty popular in the Crucible before the auto-rifle nerf.
I'm gonna re-roll this thing to try and get Rangefinder; but I'm still hoping they'll buff auto-rifles soon so I can get the most out of this gun. That last nerf in Patch 1.1.1 was taking it too far.

And when they added the option to roll any new guns or upgrade old guns... every drop is devalued. I can go buy anything, change it to suit my needs and upgrade it to end game damage output. I have only one gun that was a no brainier to ascend. I'm waiting to see burn mods for next week to upgrade anything. Every gun with locked perks has at least one ultra specific perk. Shank burn? Cool. That helps this sniper rifle or rocket launcher. perks that help during every fight are better. Imagine if fatebringer had a perk that would sometimes do additional damage to hobgoblins rather than firefly. How many people would ever defend a conflux again?
