A Friendly PSA: Don't leave your shit around

Look at this. Some silly person left their purse in my restaurant. Was in such a hurry that they left the damn thing under their chair and left for the evening. Rooting through the contents now, looking for a phone number. 350$ 5 credit cards 2 social insurance cards 2 Health inusrance cards Bank pin numbers Email accounts and logins Drivers license A pair of keys to what looks like every -blam!-ing thing under the sun Gum and shit More purse shit If I were an asshole I could do so much damn dammicky shit with this. Still no phone number. All these -blam!-ing pieces of paper and no number. Might have to use drivers license address. God dammit. I may as well ship this damn thing back to them wrapped up as a -blam!-ing christmas present through the mail. PEOPLE. DON'T LEAVE YOUR SHIT LYING AROUND.

Do the right thing by either mailing it to her address on the drivers license or turn it in to a police station where they would certainly be better equipped to locate her (I know it isn't in their job description to help return things to people, but maybe they could at the very least point you in the right direction). All those things can be replaced but the biggest pain in the ass is the license and the other forms of identification (having to wait around at the DMV all day truly sucks) Is it your personal responsibility to be the "returner of lost items"? No it isn't ,but it's certainly the kind thing to do.
