And he did it on Jay Z's Tidal exclusively as well. Like you can't even find this on YouTube. I feel like Tidal is either going to be a big shift in the music industry or fall short of anything great whatsoever.
Anyways, it's no secret that Lil Wayne's been in a slump. Most people dislike Lil Wayne because he raps about very mainstream shit, which I completely understand and agree with, but in terms of rapping ability, I've always liked Lil Wayne's flows, wordplay, metaphors, and overall rhyme schemes. Although he doesn't really say much of importance, he still spits well. Well, at least he did.
Lil Wayne has been in a slump since Tha Carter III. Which, if you never listened to, was actually a pretty good album. Tha Carter IV barely made the ticket of "decent" and lately he's just been doing pop acts and pretty much being an annoying, over-autotuned plug in the radio.
Maybe Cash Money records was holding him down the past couple years? Who knows, but it's clear to me on this track that he is spitting the bars that made him famous. Clever, funny, intricate, and original rhymes that were a staple in the game in the early 2000's. He also seems to implore some self-conscious throughout the song, seems kind of obvious that he's saying this is first quality song in a while and he's back to reclaim his glory has one of the big heads in the hip-hop game. So maybe a Lil Wayne comeback?

Aesop Rock is the only Hip-hop artist that is important.
-
Lil Wayne is awful. No matter what
-
Have you heard Wayne's verse on Tyler, The Creator's new song Smuckers? It's got Kanye on there too. But you can tell that Wayne is actually trying to step his game up.
-
If you like Lil Wayne you don't like good rap. Plain and simple.
-
Lil Wayne sucks and always has. Aside from a small handful of artists, hip-hop sucks compared to years ago. It's pretty strange to see the far and away most talented rapper be a white guy (Eminem).
-
You disappoint me jeep.

I like Lil Wayne too, glad to see he's finally back on track. It's been a few years since I heard a song from him I actually liked, But out of curiosity, what do you think about the guy I posted above?

Why does he try to ryme everything with nįgga? It's like he says it like what the rock bottom people in spongebob speak with the tounge. "I don't *niğğa* understand *niğğa* your accent *niğğa*."

The only Lil Wayne song I like is How To Love.

A over fryed pork cobab on a stick

Eh it's not a comeback

You want lyricism, metaphors, similes, alliterations, and better use of the english language. Listen to this in full, come back, and let me know what you think.

-
I've actually always liked him.
-
Not bad, but still... is coming from the person who made a bunch of songs acting who he truly is, which is a total jackass
-
Think about it: all most people know is Weezy while trapped with Birdman at Cash Money. They hate those tracks. Now he drops something good after he's done with Birdman? I think he's due for a comeback, yeah.

Real G's flow in silence like in lasagna

Holy shit that wasn't a stupid club beat song with awful recycled punchlines
