I truthfully don't know. 343i's initial weapon design for Forerunner weapons was very alien designs. However, testing showed that players had difficult time understanding how to use them. Hopefully they'll go back to that very alien approach, so they made them into the Halo 4 iterations. For now, we can probably expect more Forerunner mirrors for existing weapons.
