(Command) Affirmative, we've run into many tribal factions and have an alliance with one.

"any of them advanced enough to bury an energy source equivalent to two nuclear reactors?" *we continue toward the large pyramid*

Like we said, tribals....

Iv been here for 400 years and i can confirm none of them have nuclear power or, much power at all for that matter

"well something is creating this signature. we're going to take a closer look, our radios may not work under all that rock." *the vehicles pull up to the large pyramid. the massive structure towers over the explorers, no cracks visible in the smooth, tan stone. once the engines shut down all noise vanished as if the team was in a room made of foam.* "alright I want a team of five outside the structure, the rest of you grab your gear and follow me." *ten explorers pick up their backpacks, a few of them check their sidearms for ammo and chamber a single round. steak does the same. the other five explorers set up seismographic equipment as well as equipment to read gas signatures, weather patterns and a short range radio to communicate with the other team. the team of ten head to the entrance of the cave, flashlights in hand, and file into the dark hole.* *over comms* "command, we're entering the structure..."

"Roger that Steak, we have a QRF team in orbit. If the shit hits the fan just say the word and back up will arrive in less tha-" *comms cut off as you enter the building.

"looks like we're flying blind for now." *the team walks slowly down the passage way, their flashlights stashing pale blue Rays across the walls. in the distance the explorers hear a low hum but nothing can be seen at the end of the tunnel which seems to go on forever.*

* as you continue down the tunnel one by one the lights begin to go out until only one is left working.*

"we shouldn't keep going like this, we should turn back and figure out what's wrong with these lights and come back. I don't want to get stuck down here." *the rest of the explorers agree to turn back and all turn on their heels. to everyone's surprise the passage they followed down had changed, instead of a narrow hallway the hall way split into a "T". some of the people started to panic, the last light started to flicker and the explorers exploded into confusion, some started fighting, others ran and others sat down and started to whimper. steak didn't know if it was the temple making his crew go mad or he just over estimated them. he tried calming them down but nothing worked, soon he was standing alone in the dark with only two others. steak stared at the floor for a moment and let his eyes adjust, then looked at his remaining companions.* "can I trust you two?" *neither of the men said a word, but simply nodded.* "alright, if you have flares we're going to need them. we use one at a time, there's no use in wasting three for the same amount of light. we stick together, I have a rope I'll use to tie us together. got it?" *they nod again and get to work, they count 20 flares then tie the rope around each persons waist. one flare bursts to life and one again fills the passage with light. the explorers finally continue down the passage way, they figured if they found the energy source they may find a way out.*

*back at command it's been a few hours since we lost radio contact.* (Commander) "any word from Steak and his crew?" (comm operator) "No sir just the guard team. They say that they lost sight of the entrance while patrolling and haven't been able to find it." "Alright then...prep the QRF team and prepare a MAC round. If we can't find an entrance then we'll make one. They have 2 hours."

*after ten minutes of walking the remaining three begin to slow.* "we're not going anywhere! this temple is just a long ass hall way we're never gonna find the exit of!" *one of the explorers says and kicks the wall as hard as he can, his leg breaks through the wall and vanishes into more darkness. in a panic he frantically pulls his leg back and falls against the other wall. steak walks to the wall to examine the hole. there's a hidden passage way that seems to have a pale green light at the end of it.* "we need to break through this wall. start kicking!" *all three start kicking at the wall, which breaks away piece by piece revealing a hallway bigger then the explorers expected. without a word the explorers start running down the hallway, a new flare in hand.*

*in the command center.* Send in the QRF team, send an additional assault team also. And make sure we target the opposite side of the temple, we don't want to hit our own guys.

*the trio races down the passage ways trying to find the source of the pale light. they turn a corner and see that the corridor opens into a massive room that seems to be empty except for a single source of light in the middle of the room. each stops dead in their tracks, possibly terrified of what they have discovered. finally steak begins to walk toward the strange source, with the rope still connected the other two follow along. the walls seem to vanish as the explorers leave the corridor, instead of a sprawling floor which covers the entire room only a single bridge, barely big enough for the three of them reaches out to the source of light. as they get close the light seems to dim and the source takes the shape of a sphere. the mysterious sphere looks to be a dark greenish, grey despite the light it expels. though the explorers have radiation detectors none of them spike as they approach the magnificent sphere. the three of them stop again three feet from the floating ball of light none of them dare touch it.* "well captain, would you like to do the honors?" *one of the men says in a sarcastic tone. steak shoots him a look that could melt ice, this was no time for humor. though they all needed it. reluctantly steak reached out and touched the sphere, it's surface was cool as ice despite its incredibly high energy reading, but the chill could not be savored. beams of light arc across the chamber and around the explorers. the burst of light made the three stumble backwards and toward the edge. one of the three stepped too close and fell, if not for the rope he wouldn't have had a chance. steak and the other grabbed onto the rope but the man was heavier then they'd expected. each of them slide closer to the edge nearly falling to their doom but the third explorer was able to hold them back. once they recovered they looked around the room, which now showed glyphs across the walls and floating beside the bridge, they almost seemed like buttons. then the ground began to shake, pebbles skipped off the edge an into the dark abyss, the ceiling seemed to crack apart.* "what the hell is happening!?" *one of them yelled over the rumbling. the third man stepped backwards away from one of the controls, not saying a word. he looked in shock as if he had just doomed his very existence in the universe. before steak could confront him the floor around the green sphere began to rise, starting slowly but then picking up speed. steak glanced up at what looked like sunlight then at the rising tower, without saying a word he bolted toward the escalating floor, the other two followed immediately. they jumped onto the pedestal and rose toward the light, steak grabbed the ball and slid it into his pack hoping it would not interfere, which it did not seem to. boulders from the crumbling ceiling fell past them revealing more sunlight, it blinded the explorers as they ascended into the sky. passing through the newly made exit them looked around seeing the lush jungles of the moon... then they cheered.* [spoiler]sorry this is really long. *air ships swoop in onto your position as you rise out of the temple.* "St-k is tha- -ve you ---en ?" *comms are coming back online but are still having problems.*

*steak taps his radio furiously, a smile is permanently on his face.* "command, come in. repeat your last message, it seems there is still some interference."

*george gets on the comms and clears it.* (Me) "steak come in, I believe George fixed the problem, mind telling me what the -blam!- is going on?"

"I'm not even completely sure. I think this temple might be completely mechanized, that would explain why the corridors changed all around us. the central control room was holding the energy source. unfortunately I've lost contact with all but three of the team I took in, it may be possible to create a path out using the controls, but we're going to need a scientist."

"Roger im dispatching one right away. Should I send in an assault team?"
