It took me about 10 VoGs to get to 30 back in the day.

27, zero legendaries and zero exotics. To be fair, it was only atheon and I committed suicide while a 29 warlock and 29 titan pushed him off for me.

I did it as a 27 with no exotics and 1 legendary. Told the guys it was like my 5th time that week when it was my first time ever. I don't think I've ever been so nervous for a game.
