I was playing some Crucible this morning and saw someone using the old Jacolytes consumable from Halloween. I started playing in January, so I had to look up what it was. Before that though, I thought it might be a bad thing, which gave me an idea for these ToO/IB cheaters:
If an account is caught cheating, should their character have a permanent (even after their ban expires) effect on them in PvP games?
I was just thinking something like radiance but with stink lines, but if you have better ideas feel free to post them.
-
Give them a dirty brown shader so everyone can instantly recognise a dirty cheat.
-
I like the friendly fire idea...
-
No. Permanent ban or clean slate after temp ban.
-
I love that friendly fire idea lol
-
Wouldn't be needed, bungie will have a list of offenders and will be watching those accounts in future, no need to name and shame, otherwise it would be allowed on the forums (as naming other player's usernames isn't allowed)
-
Make them use jade rabbit emblem...
-
The only thing this would encourage is bullying messages, death threats, discrimination amongst gamers via pm which would result in sony & Microsoft swinging their ban-hammers. As far as I can see the cheaters got caught and punished accordingly no reason to escalate it further but that's just me
-
They should have their own ships with stickers all over it that say cheater, and it would be a permanent ship so they cant switch it out.
-
I think people backing out of Osiris games isn't as bad as I got wins for them backing out when they see my teams flawless emblems? However some people report that opposition team backs out and they got an unfair loss, I have only benefited from teams backing out, however as not all have been as fortunate I think pvp cheaters should definitely serve big bans, talking months+ and repeat offenders get account banned / maybe even ip banned, if this action was taken for the lag switchers and such it would soon come to a dramatic stop
-
I honestly think if you get banned for cheating in pvp that you should be perma banned. as in they can never play destiny ever again. The disc would become a coster for them. Cheating in pvp for most games isn't taken seriously enough. I honestly think if you get caught cheating in any multiplayer game that they should get IP banned. Fun fact if you got caught online with a modded xbox (original) they would send a code to your console that killed the system effectively. Maybe that should start happening again.

1st time - Week mark 2nd time - month mark 3rd time - permanent mark
-
They should have a dunce emblem
-
Edited by FieryPhoenix555: 6/7/2015 1:03:17 PMBurn them at the stake, ok ok, maybe I am too harsh but I really think, if they are let back in, they can only use rate(blue) grade weapons and armour...! Also their character should be fused with a brown emblem an a brown shader with a turd on it so everyone knows how much of a turd they are...!
-
If they were already banned, there's no reason to shame them. It's just a video game.
-
Permanent ban
-
That mark looks too cool tho it should be a picture of dickbutt
-
Great Idea :D
-
Yeah I reckon there emblem should have a circle slash watermarked on it.
-
First time no. Second time yes.
-
They should be permanently unable to equip any rep boosting items. Problem solved

Hi bungie here giving more news about cheating or hacking. At the moment all consoles are against cheating or hacking. After a few serious weeks of hacking in some of our 16+ games we have been looking out for any cheating. The normal console prosegure is to ban that live connection. Although alot of you have been asking us why. So this final vote gets to decide at 90% between the 3 contestants. For more tips vist www.bungie.net to find out more. Thank you.

Replace their helmets with Dunce Caps
-
I don't know, your idea sounds cool as shit
-
Hi bugie member here, as you might have seen we have been strugling with servire
-
People who cheat should be banned permanently. This will serve as a deterrent to others who think about cheating as it affects us all. The Iron Banner is full of lag switchers and it is ruining the event and it should not be tolerated at all.
-
They cannot ever really do that for they could complain to xbl or psn about it for it would be slander and could put bungie in hot water for doing that.
