Frankie said back in 2012 before Halo 4 even came out that the Ur-Didact will be instrumental in post-Halo 4 fiction, and Brian Reed has said that there's a plan for the Ur-Didact's character arc following the events of Escalation. His story is not done yet.

His character is far too important and has been much of the focus of recent lore.
