If you stream for money shame on you. Gaming should be a hobby not a job. You people begging for money make me sick. I don't know what's worse the people streaming for money or the idiots who donate to them?
While you're sitting on your ass fighting aliens you have little kids fighting cancer. Shame on you...

Many things, it usually starts out as a hobby, and people start to like you, then you get to start making money. Two, many people donate to charity who are streamers. Three, people who stream aren't usually doing it for money, it's just an added bonus.
-
I like some streamers. Many just stream for fun & to be sociable with other gamers. Majority of the most popular streamers don't beg. Its like a camgirl begging for tips, most eventually stop viewing if they don't shutup begging.
-
These people also never leave their house because they are streaming 24/7 yeah they get paid. but you lose friends when you sit by yourself at home all day you also become fat outdoors is pretty cool too so they are not the winners here, trust me

lol op doesn't understand that being a streamer is the same as being a musician or actor/actress in a movie/tv show or even an athlete. They are called Entertainers they do things people like watching people compensate them for their time spent entertaining them. by op's logic actors/actresses/athletes/musicians/artists/writers are all scum of the earth but clearly people think differently otherwise they wouldn't be as successful as they are. Everything is a hobby to someone.

Edited by Willie Killigan: 8/2/2015 11:59:57 PMOur culture has enough entertainers, and not enough hard working people with common sense. I honestly don't understand the popularity of some of these streamers in general. Most of them are corny as fluck, but maybe that's just me. As for the whole chairty thing, if I want to donate to charity I do it directly, not through a third party, especially some guy/gal sitting at home playing a video game all day. And I know there are more relevant methods of volunteering your time and energy for charities then downing Crota.

And me packing anal plugs and bags of jerky at my job at amazon is fighting cancer
-
If they can make money doing something they enjoy , more power to them. It just wont be money made off of me. I will not support anyone's refusal to get a job.
-
Streamers asking for 'donations' is the equivalent of giving hookers a donation. Donations aren't considered a form of payment,so it's a loophole in the system.
-
It's actually against PSN/Xbox & bungies policy to do that. They're more concerned about lag switchers in their broken crucible.
-
They provide a service. People pay them for that service.
Capitalism 101.
Providing entertainment... Your understanding of the world is troubling

Ignorant post. No streamer forces people to donate. And they're providing a form of entertainment. You should deride all entertainers then. Streamers put a lot of work and effort into their stream. Have respect.
-
Sounds like someone is jealous people are getting paid to play. It's called a free market. Look it up.
-
There are people that play games so well that others tip them for their skills. Stop being dumb, kid.
-
Streamers are entertainers, just because the medium of which they chose to entertain people is a video game makes no difference.
-
First of all a good portion of the streamers donate to charity and stuff and dont ask gor for money. If people want to donate to them they can. Then theres the give me $30 and i'll carry you to flawless. Who cares soon no one will pay them. Alot of people do giveaways play with viewers and have fun. Like goth or broman. Hell even some streamers are carrying people through trials even if they didn't donate.

Edited by RoflBiscuit: 8/2/2015 11:38:19 PMI beat thyroid cancer, I youtube and stream without asking for funds. I don't mind donating so long as the cause is clear. StrikesForVeterans I believe they are called take donations from the community and put it towards gaming consoles and such to help soldiers have a normal life again.

The problem isn't with these clowns begging for money...it's the giant asshats that give them money!!!!! What in the -blam!- is wrong with people?!?!
-
I think that you are jealous of them.
-
You sound jealous
-
Some streamers donate the money to charity like cancer research etc , still think this is stupid ?
-
Somebody's jealous.

Edited by xXAtomicPowerXx: 8/2/2015 11:30:21 PMThese "horrible" people entertain other people, and people donate the amounts they think it's fair. Many of them do charity events. While you play you only entertain yourself and do not get any funds. You do not know how they spend their streaming money. They might help a ton of people. You however do not for sure help any child's fight against cancer while playing.

Hmm what about SGDQ? People speedrun and all the donations go to charity.
