*You receive a confusing tangle of encoding as a response*

*A piercing screech echoes from the transmission, then slowly falls to a low buzz. You hear a voice, a woman's finally reaching through* "Carlos!!! Can't you figure out what frequencies they use? It shouldn't be that hard if they are only using binary!! Why can't we get a visual onscreen?" *A male voice replies* "Ma'am, I believe that they do not have such capabilities. I am currently trying to patch us through to them."

*i send out two escort ships to force you to land in our hanger bay which is full of soldiers ready to fight if necessary.* Unidentified ship you are being forced to land this is because you cannot secure your comms and we do not wish to fire on someone who may be friendly. If you turnout o be hostile though, I hope you've made peace with your gods.

*Your two ships come face to face with an impeller wedge of an asteroid-sized battleship bearing down on them* "Ma'am!! We have to ships bearing down on us, TAC sized. Do we hail them or fire?" "We can try hailing them again, maybe that will work" *The transmission is still being broadcast, they do not realize you are listening in*

*i recall my ships and have my AI hack into your ships communications network. Now you can hear me.* Attention This is the Commander of the Alamo and the 7th Fleet, we have three battleships preparing to fire at you. Identify yourself now for gods sake we can't take any chances. We can hear you!

*The AI's probe is met by a firewall, its basic coding almost alien to you. The attempt is noted however and the transmission reaches through. The woman's voice now addresses you* "Ah, hello. We were wondering when you would finally respond. I am Commander Shadow of the GRN [i]Eclipse[/i]. We hail from Genellian, seeking Earth. We noted your presence as we entered the system. I would suggest you retract your earlier threats lest my fingers get a bit trigger happy. Do you have visual transmission capabilities?"

You must forgive me for my earlier threats. I am Commander Rodriguez of the Terran Federation Navy. We are all a bit trigger happy after what happened to earth. We as far as we know are the only members left of our government and society. Like you we are also looking for earth since it was lost in a wormhole. What is your business with earth?

"Earth is gone? So much for getting mother her spices..." *She seems distracted until the man's voice interrupts* "Ma'am" "Oh, thank you Carlos. Do you require assistance? I believe we could take a few refugees aboard that we found when we scanned your ships." *You can hear Carlos sigh in the background*

"Haha it's fine we may be overcrowded for now but the planet below us, New Terra has become our home and we are currently expanding our housing on the planet. Besides your crew does not seem very happy about the offer."

*You can hear Carlos laugh* "No sir, it was not that..." *Shadow's voice returns* "We have also wondering if you have visual capabilities for transmission, otherwise we have to go off of what our scans show you to look like."

*Your screen flickers and suddenly you see a large bridge, filled with rows of people at work at stations. A woman stands in the middle, on a podium with a large chair behind her. The woman appears young, almost in her teens. An exo suit covers her body, and her face is obscured by a sombrero until she turns* "Ah!!! Hello!! Very nice to finally get a visual." *A man at a station closest to her waves* "I am also glad to see you as well. It is nice to finally meet an Earth human" *Their voices match the ones on the radio transmission*

*the visual comes through clearly and you see a young officer in his uniform with a cigar in his mouth he is surrounded by fellow officers and marines at workstations as well as an AI. .* "Well us earth humans can't be that different, what is it that we can do for you all?"

"We were on a mission, a quick trip really. We were looking for goods to trade and whatnot but then we saw hostiles, which turned out to be you kind folks." *Shadow leans back and waves about* "So, I guess the real question is what can we do for you? You look like you need some help. We got a few hundred spare square feet of cargo bays if you need to dump some refugees off." *Carlos nods* "We have plenty of room available, please allow us to help."

Well honestly we need medical aide. If you can provide that we'll send over the refugees. It's bad we have overcrowded hospitals aboard our ships and planet side. We can offer to trade some supplies in return.

*Shadow* "Medical assistance is always free. No trade needed." *Both of us nod* "Send them over. We will take care of them for you."

"We are in your debt friend. None the less if you're open to it maybe we can workout a trade agreement." *sends the ships full of wounded refugees and soldiers (unarmed of course)*
