I started using the Queenbreakers Bow in PvP a few days ago when I got it. I've just today figured out how to 'properly' use it to its full extent of ability, combining fusion rifle tactics and high impact scout rifle tactics. Charging as you go around suspected corners, taking the enemy at longer range than they can reliably hit without snipers, and flanking/support.
I find it to be completely fair and balanced for what it is, neither excelling or falling behind in any real category except eclipsing scout rifles and mid range snipers in the right hands. The only thing that bothers me, but at the same time seems reasonable is the amount of ammo you pick up per special crate. You often miss, or hit targets for regular body-shot sniper damage, if not just most shots because of the needing-to-charge aspect of the gun. At that a glancing shot from a tiny damage weapon or single-digit explosion sends you aiming 8 feet above people like sniper rifles, which is fair.
Spawning with as much as 17 shots, and picking up 11 or so per crate seems a little high, but at the same time the gun has virtually replaced my primary in usefulness(mostly pulse/scout rifles) as it is better than them in their perfect situation. I know it's classified as a secondary, but it picks up the key aspects of scout rifle gameplay with strafe shooting and landing criticals as often as possible. It even has full accuracy while moving around, which is fair enough considering corners would be a literal deathtrap if you had to come around a corner and stop for a second before you hit where you were aiming.
Possible changes:
-Spawn with and pick up 25% less ammo
-Take off the "Increased Hipfire Accuracy Perk". It's bad enough a weapon with middle-tier sniper damage has crosshairs. Infact, make it a perk altogether for snipers to have crosshairs. That would make sense.
-The abilty icon in the scopes is far from usable, or functional. They are a few pixels at most wide for the super indicator, the grenade and melee indicators don't even register if you have 2 grenades or melee charges. Simply saying your ability isn't ready if you used 1 of 2 possible uses.
Keep in mind it's an Exotic, so it's allowed to get leeway for being an original concept. At that, it's also performing like you picked it up from a Vandal, which is to be expected. So just don't hate it because you're bad with it or die to it. At least it's not the NLB of this dlc... looking at you Dregs Promise.
