I'd like to start this by saying that if you are struggling or struggled with downing Quodron, don't feel bad, you're not at fault.
The Quodron boss encounter is not all that difficult once you've learned the strategy, what makes it difficult is the insane add spawn rate and the lack of clarity in what to do.
During the fight at no time are you told about Quodron's Eye who grants you the jailbreaker perk once killed. Players simply are told that Quodron is searching for targets and usually wind up dead in their bubbles before they fully realize what's going on. To make matters worse, once players discover QE and the perk it grants, QE is extremely difficult to discern from all the other adds leading players to sometimes miss it. Yes QE is silver and shiny, but when there are dozens of hobgoblins around it and everything is shooting at you, it's pretty easy to miss.
The next problem with the Quodron boss encounter is the absurd amount of adds. I've beaten Quodron twice now, but I'd say the vast majority of my team's time was spent cowering behind cover doing add control instead of putting damage on boss! This is infuriating and is a gleaming example of artificial difficulty. Once the mechanics are learned, the fight is simple: shoot boss, kill QE, pop bubbles, rinse and repeat. With the amount of adds there are, out quickly morphs to either: burn Quodron with Gjallarhorn as quickly as possible or damage on boss, kill QE, pop bubbles, cower in fear for the next six minutes.
Once again I'd like to reassure anyone struggling with this encounter that while it can be beaten, if you're having difficulty it could very likely be a result of poor design. When you realize you have only taken out a quarter of its health after fifteen minutes because you're spending the majority of the time hiding from adds, THAT'S NOT FUN!
Stick with it guardians and if anyone needs help on PS4, I'm willing to lend a hand.

What the hell is the eye of quodron thing you kill? We never killed anything except some hobgoblins, and eventually the boss and we never wiped. But the weird bubble thing was really annoying. We had no idea what it was
