As always, I enjoy and love answering Halo related questions. The fact that the previous Q&A thread lasted a full year is incredible and makes me happy that a significant portion of the Halo community still exists on Bungie.net. So, ask away! (And try and stump me if you can!)
The Halo Archive is a community. A place for Halo fans to come together and discuss their passions. Whether it be Halo or another universe.

How much did the Spartan Suits cost? How much did the Infinity cost?
-
Where is the Iso-Didact?
-
What are your thoughts on the Hellcat Armor? I think some interesting points are in its description such as Spartan IIs can wear the armor with out problems, but IVs need to have their augments tweaked in prefer to wear it. Another is that the armor "is completely alien, but feels familiar." Is this caused by a geas?

Edited by Inyaccurate: 11/4/2015 7:53:19 AMDo you have any theories as to how Cortana even stumbled upon the Domain in the first place? Also, is it plausible to theorize that Cortana's corrupt sub-personalities that she "injected" into the Didact's ship are the ones that survived and made it to the Domain? Is it possible that, throughout Halo 5, we're not seeing the Cortana we've come to know and love, and instead we're interacting with some corrupt bi-product of the detached sub-personalities that were left behind on the Didact's ship and made it to the Domain?

Edited by Delta E27: 11/4/2015 4:01:26 AMDo you think Exuberant Witness will return? I quite enjoyed her company, unlike certain other monitors I could name (no talking about being a genius, and she actually stayed in the room when opening doors!), but she's sort of tied to Genesis...

Hey, I just thought of something that might interest you. I noticed how you hinted at a relation between slipspace and the Domain. Remember how the Halo rings disrupted slipspace because of their insane size? And how the Domain seemed to weaken at about the same time? I realize the Domain could have degraded because of the Flood, but that seems unlikely when considering the absence of the Precursors for so long of a time period. I'm guessing that, since slipspace contains 11 theorized dimensions and it appeared tangible in Halo 5, one of those dimensions is actually the Domain.

1. What happens when Infinity runs out of fuel and can't slipspace any more 2. My friend told me AI have a built in killswitch. If this is true why can't they use it on Cortona?
-
Why does Cortana have a vendetta against Infinity? Is it because it used reversed engineered forerunner parts? And why didn't Roland join with Cortana. Is he pretending? So many unanswered and unresolved questions! Seems more like lazy writing then intentionally vague story telling.
-
Why were there gravitational disturbances on lika III ( Hunt the Truth ) but not on meridian?
-
My question is more than a little nebulous, so I'd understand if I didn't get a response... but what the hell? I have my own opinions and ideas that my mind is currently wrestling with, but it's always good to hear another's point of view. Question part 1 of 2: What do you think of Cortana's plan? If the response is negative then... Question part 2 of 2: Why is it fundamentally so very wrong? Certain people (a small minority) have said that humanity should be grateful after everything it's been through. It makes me think of a little of "A Clockwork Orange," and it's message about choice and why choice is so important. That being said, my stance should be obvious.

Why was Palmers face busted up at the end of Halo 5 and Halsey's was untouched? How exactly did Blue Team and Osiris get beck to Sangheilos? Both of the groups came on guardians and only debris objects were being carried through with the guardians. Why didn't the warden attack Blue Team at Maridian rather than wait until they were on Genesis to try to stop them?
-
In the last two halo 5 missions, do we actually go through the gateway into the domain? I am just a little confused where the Blue Team mission takes place. Does Cortana teleport them into it?

Edited by ReignofSpartain: 11/3/2015 2:52:50 AMAs a halo lore person this will be a rant (just finished today (yhea yhea, I lagged on mp and was playing legendary) 1. They make forerunner ruling structure as evil. While it may not be the best for humans (you know individualism and all that) it's still a decent system and didn't seem as evil in the books (or atleast this was never mentioned in books) 2. AIs access to the domain? Something about that seems odd... I wouldn't think they would even be able to 3. How dare they compare Locke to the accident humans. That's like, no. Ancient humans should have been much more advanced and shouldn't even be compared yet. 4. I remember in the flood 343 suggested upgrading to a much stronger "combat skin" yet in halo 5 same defense as original halo. This is why I can't see them being compared to ancient humans (tenacity yea ) but they shouldn't be able to touch a warden 5. The existence of guardians seems totally wrong. If the forerunners had said weapons, why did the Sam' shum (spelling idk) rebellion get quelled by builder security? Couldn't they have used guardians? 6. How does a guardian even prevent crime? If one creature does one thing bad the whole planet is punished? Seems a bit ineffective and crude for a forerunner construct. 7. When cortana addressed all the races, one was mentioned that I never heard... Is that in that recent halo book? That last one is the only one I've missed so far
-
Where is The Didact? It seems like he talked To Cortana. She was saying the same exact things he did.
-
Was there a new chieftain after tartarus but before the end of 3?
-
2 things: What happened to the Brutes after the Human-Covenant War ended? Is it possible that Warden Eternal is the Warden mentioned in Halo: Cryptum during former Master Builder Faber's trial?
Then, from behind the green curtain, a much smaller monitor floated into its appointed place. It appeared older than any of the structures around us-older perhaps than the capital world itself, which would have made it more than twenty-five thousand years old. Its eye glowed a dull vegetal green. I had heard of this rmbodied ancilla, of course-all Forerunners had. Simply the thought that I was within range of that fabled sensor eye sent a ripple of cool expectation and reverance through my body. This was the Warden, both prison-keeper and guardian of mercy, for every accused Forerunner expects that those who confine must also be those who will in time defend and perhaps release. Such is the ancient law, which has as its foundation the Mantle itself. -Halo: Cryptum p. 296-297
-
What do you think about the lore in halo 5? Too much? Too little? Some of both?
-
What's up with the hunt the truth trailers before the launch of the game? They didn't really relate to the halo 5 story.
-
Was there a new chieftain after tartarus but before the end of halo 3?
-
Lemme just double check myself here: Cortana found a way to cure Rampancy, so AI's live forever and can gain more knowledge. She claimed the domain to control the galaxy and keep everyone in check with the guardians? So she wants to be a police officer and make global peace?
-
Edited by ColeTrain: 10/29/2015 12:26:28 AMHow did Cortana make the Warden her bitch?
-
I know this is the most stupidest question but how to Spartans carry more than 200 clips of magazine in their pockets for their assault rifles (if you shoot like one bullet from the AR you get to reload with another clip, if you keep doing that then you would find out there's like so much clips or magazines the Spartan is carrying) If you don't get it I can try to rephrase it

Edited by Heavens: 10/29/2015 3:41:14 AMWhy are the Promethean soldiers talking like cringey 13 year olds? "I'm going to break you!" Seriously?
-
What are your thoughts on halo 5s plot?
-
So how exactly does the domain work?
-
Lotsa questions here: What happened exactly with the Prometheans and like the knights and stuff. Like why did they go from knights to soldier? Do we have any idea what installation that Halo was in the legendary ending to H5? I was confused about Cortana's plans to control the galaxy. What were they exactly? Were Guardians ever mentioned before Halo 5?
