It wasn't a sacrifice. It was murder. It was "punishment" for doing something similar to what I am doing but simply to a whole other level. He was the Son of God and spread the word and defended everything he said and believed. Therefore they put him on a cross, nails through his ankles and wrists, a crown of thorns, a sponge of vinegar in his mouth, snapped his shins so he couldn't hold up his own weight, and then gorged out his insides with a spear.
Now you tell me what's horrible and disgusting.
Yes God knew it was going to happen, because it had to happen. Because without it, faith in him would have diminished, the world would have continued to burn in the lames of hell, and he wanted to show people that Jesus really was the Son of God by raising him from the dead and ascending him to Heaven.

So that's the best solution the creator of the Universe can come up with? He created the world according to his will, "sin" and all, and had to sacrifice himself to himself in order to make things better?
