I don't see what is so disgusting about it. It simply describes in detail what was to be done. The animals didn't suffer and would have been eaten regardless. And I fail to see where it says where it is for God's pleasure.
As for human sacrifice, yes I suppose it did happen. But those people chose to be sacrificed. I don't practice these things because God hasn't instructed me to do so nor anyone else I've ever met.

But if he did ask you to do something like that, would you?

God said loved the smell.... He instructed them what to do, and how to do it. Why on Earth would the creator of the Universe desire animal sacrifice? And your entire religion is based on the idea that god required a human sacrifice (himself, Jesus) as payment for a situation that was created according to his will.

It wasn't a sacrifice. It was murder. It was "punishment" for doing something similar to what I am doing but simply to a whole other level. He was the Son of God and spread the word and defended everything he said and believed. Therefore they put him on a cross, nails through his ankles and wrists, a crown of thorns, a sponge of vinegar in his mouth, snapped his shins so he couldn't hold up his own weight, and then gorged out his insides with a spear. Now you tell me what's horrible and disgusting. Yes God knew it was going to happen, because it had to happen. Because without it, faith in him would have diminished, the world would have continued to burn in the lames of hell, and he wanted to show people that Jesus really was the Son of God by raising him from the dead and ascending him to Heaven.

So that's the best solution the creator of the Universe can come up with? He created the world according to his will, "sin" and all, and had to sacrifice himself to himself in order to make things better?

Edited by Stickman Al: 6/4/2015 9:26:26 AMAnyone that believes this in the first place is unlikely to see how ridiculous it is. If you get past the talking snake and still believe it, the more complex issues are probably lost on you.
