Just to point out: Many people discuss the abundance of etheric light and the ease with which it is obtained. Unfortunately they do not include the 'if's' in their posts, instead focusing on stroking Epeen. Here are the if's: Etheric light is easy to obtain if... You have 3 characters You have the ability to run 34 35 PoE 3 times a week You have the ability to spend the weekend playing ToO You have the ability to run the WNF 3 times a week You have a clan or a very large group of friends or a flexible time schedule that allows you to use the 100 etc All of these 'if's' are dependent on having an inordinate amount of time to play the game. (Note: the average amount a player plays destiny a day is a staggering 4 hours) To summarize: not a single complaint here. Just a empirical attempt to show that light is fairly rare and acquiring it mostly depends on the above if's. Ideally if they haven't already Bungie would consider a high bar for a guarantee of one a week for casual players. For example: complete 1 WNF, 1 weekly and 4 dailies in one week for 1 light.
