The grind is about to be very real for alot of us just to be able to upgrade our weapons..
Re-rolling is fun and addictive and a great addition to Destiny, but with it comes the realization we need some type of exchange of materials that will allow us to obtain more weapon parts.
Farming Ether Chests was a great way to replenish blue engrams for weapon parts, but now that the Ether Chest farming is over, it will be even harder to make up the difference. Strikes give alot, but if we could simply buy them for glimmer/motes/strange coins or exchange Hadrionic essence/Plasteel Plating or Hunter Wire for weapon parts, that would be an ideal way to deal with this new famine.

ALSO: If you happen to have a lot of Weapon parts, dont bother listing that you have a bunch or listing how many thousands you have. Dont be that guy. This thread is for people who identify with the current system draining weapon parts faster than ever before.
We all know no one is forcing us to reroll our weapons. But you know what? It actually makes Destiny partly fun again, so of course people want to do it to get perfect/ideal rolls. So if you dont have anything constructive to the conversation, dont bother posting.

Are you kidding? I've got thousands of the things. Just because you can exchange them, doesn't mean you should. It's only a problem because you were too vapid to use forsight... Tl:dr OP is the creator of his own problem.

I had around 1000 when the dlc dropped, now I have 200. I'm trying to get by without spending them.
-
-
I only have 7 weapon parts....
-
-
My Titan is down to 6300 weapon parts. I'm starting to get worried.
-
I have 3 Exotics I can max right now, I can't though because of Weapon Parts. #thestruggleisreal

Here. I made a thread about gunsmith selling weapon parts and would appreciate everyone bumping the thread. You're just gonna get: 1) "gunsmith sells weapon parts just buy his weapons and dismantle" 2) "omg frkin narb go farm strikes you idiot"
-
Very efficient way to get them, get enough wins on ToO ticket to buy the weapon and just keep buying, then farm more glimmer, cheapest option with highest potential amount. I was at 0 I did this and I'm back up at 500
-
I was out the second day... Been farming constantly and it's getting old. I've never done so many strikes before... This coming from a primarily pvp player.
-
I'm out
-
I have idea where all my weapon parts went, I swear they just grow legs and walk out of my vault.
-
Play trials till you get your 7 wins[or higher if you're going for mercury], and then just buy the weapon for sale and break it down as many times as you can stand.
-
start farming boxes,problem solved
-
I haven't ever re-rolled 1 thing in this game.
-
I got about 3...
-
Yup I have like 7 left

Bungie is brilliant! Adding rerolling is keeping the grind real. It also makes VOG and Crota relevant making you run those raids to obtain ascendant and radiant shards which can be traded in for motes which you need to get your reroll fix. Smart Bungie.....very smart. Games still fun as hell though. Keep grinding!

No matter how many I spend, I already seem to have 1700 when I log in the next day
-
I ran out completely. Back up to like 100 now. The struggle is real.
