The grind is about to be very real for alot of us just to be able to upgrade our weapons..
Re-rolling is fun and addictive and a great addition to Destiny, but with it comes the realization we need some type of exchange of materials that will allow us to obtain more weapon parts.
Farming Ether Chests was a great way to replenish blue engrams for weapon parts, but now that the Ether Chest farming is over, it will be even harder to make up the difference. Strikes give alot, but if we could simply buy them for glimmer/motes/strange coins or exchange Hadrionic essence/Plasteel Plating or Hunter Wire for weapon parts, that would be an ideal way to deal with this new famine.

ALSO:[/b] If you happen to have a lot of Weapon parts, dont bother listing that you have a bunch or listing how many thousands you have. Dont be [i]that guy.[/i] This thread is for people who identify with the current system draining weapon parts faster than ever before.
We all know no one is forcing us to reroll our weapons. But you know what? It actually makes Destiny partly fun again, so of course people want to do it to get perfect/ideal rolls. So if you dont have anything constructive to the conversation, dont bother posting.

Totally signed, I had about 1200 before how but now when I need 5 for next upgrade it feels like impossible mission. I could trade sc for 1 wp or 2 motes for wp. But I find out that best way get few wps is buying ToO weapon and shard it. 500 glimmer for 2/3 weapon parts. So I wait every friday for wps not xur.

Yup. Gunsmith should sell weapon parts. You still need to grind for glimmer then. Addictive and fun to try out combinations!

I went to re roll the violator XII I got, thinking "I have like 30 motes, I should be fine" started re rolling, and then ran out of weapon parts...

Yup, I have run out! Never thought weapon parts would be an issue! But between upgrading mew weapons and the gambling.. Err re-rolling .. I have simply run out! strike playlist here I come I guess..

I was down to 30 last week back up to 70 or so. I'm not rerolling anymore until I have over 200. There should be a way to target these while farming like we can for materials like helium, relic iron etc. Or even an exchange like OP mentioned.
