What is infinity? Is it a number? Is it simply a symbol? Is it some kind of imaginary limitless limit we humans invented? Maybe it's an... an excuse. That's right, an excuse! We cannot imagine, we cannot fathom something so endless, so vast as infinity, so we simplify it with a single word. It is much, much, much more complex. Some would say infinitely complex, but incorrectly so.
I understand more on the subject than most. Infinity is still a puzzle to me, but I feel as if I fit another piece in place with each passing moment. I'm close; I can feel it!
By now I guess you're wondering who I am. I look like what the universe refers to as a human male. As for my name...well...truth be told I was never given a name, so I guess you can name me. Let me take a guess. Maybe you'll call me... Jimmy? Marshal? Gilgamesh? Perhaps you'll call me Boom? I honestly don't care. I only request that you don't give me an insulting name like Gaylord, or faggitron.
Well, regardless of what you name me, my story says the same. My story isn't exactly a sad one, but it's not happy either. My mother abandoned me at a young age. It wasn't that she didn't want me, she simply had other plans. My only lasting memory of her is what she said to me before leaving. "Goodbye! I'm off to find infinity. Hopefully you'll join me." She was gone after that, and I haven't even gotten any hint of her existence since then. I guess you could say that it was that saying that propelled me into what I am today. It is my muse, my inspiration. One day I'll crack the code. One day it'll all become clear. One day I'll find her at infinity, and I'll finally be complete.
Look at me, going off on this emotional rant. I've been talking about one day, but I haven't focused on now. Now is what leads to one day. To speak of the future without now is to spread the icing without the cake. It's incomplete, devoid of all logic or process.
Right now, at this very point in time, I am letting you know of my existence. These words I speak, these emotions I feel, are being relayed to you through means I honestly don't comprehend. They could just be running through your mind, or they could be words on a screen, but somehow, someway they are reaching you.
My partner, Elise, is sleeping by my side. She isn't my romantic partner, but my companion through the stars. I found her on a planet called Earth. I found some of myself in her. She was abandoned, just like me. In her eyes I saw a knack for discovery and exploration. I decided to take her in. It been twenty years since I took her in, not that it matters. Age becomes irrelevant once you you gain access to the universe's secrets.
I think I did her more of a favor than I thought. Humans have to be the loneliest species in the universe, not another sign of life for trillions of light years. It's sad really. I wonder if they'll ever know what it feels like to be part of a living, breathing universe. Only time will tell.
I feel tired. I think I'll update you on more later. For now just remember, I exist, and I'm close. Until infinity becomes closer, this is Me, signing off.

Interesting.
