We're adding Matchmaking to the Wish List thread to acknowledge the request that has been made by many of you. You have my personal assurances that the design teams know you want it. They've seen the conversation.
My comments about using your time here to make friends and play games were an attempt to provide ideas for immediate solutions to the issue of needing people to play with. I'm not here to invalidate anyone's opinion, but I do have my own experiences with with building teams to play games together. If I could move one of you closer to taking matchmaking into your own hands, it would be worth the scorn.
As for deliberate forum censorship on the part of anyone at Bungie? I can guarantee that these things are not happening. The algorithms that sort forum topics do their own thing. The only time we influence that is when one of you is violating the code of conduct.

Please provide a valid argument of how OPTIONAL matchmaking would affect someone like you, who would choose not to use it. Saying "there's plenty of reasons" is not a valid discussion point.
-
I agree, I can solo the weekly or two man it with a friend. Why should I be forced to carry players that barely make the level cut?
-
PS - forgot to say thanks for adding it to the community wishlist. Thank you.
-
This community is full of immature shits and the forums should be monitored instead of having anarchy among opinions.

Follow up from my previous post/response. If I could move one of you to take matchmaking into your own hands... Is this supposed to mean that if we tried using LFG or #recruitment we would see how great it is? If so, I did/do use those tools. I've posted about how that process can be tedious. This doesn't mean that it's 100% ineffective, but it is far less than ideal. Having MM on the wishlist is a step in the right direction. Then I think about how long these other items have sat on the wishlist. Some follow up would probably be a good idea. I've seen MM posts on this forum for a good long while, and it's just now getting traction besides repetitive weekly updates or community focus about some great guild or outside MM website. Really, Bungie has already responded by regurgitating how great guilds are or showing off another LFG tool. The recent resurgence of MM posts shows that a large and vocal majority do not prefer the current means of finding teammates and do not care for these tools for some, if not all end game activities. Again, I'm happy we got a response. I'm glad that MM is on the wishlist. But to say that faith has been restored? Not completely, no. I would be very pleased to see this conversation continue, and not in a "showing off another guild or LFG tool" kind of way. Once again, I'm glad we got a response. I'll also go on the record as saying that DeeJ has one hell of a rough job that I surely do not want. I also hope that the MM posts keep up and show on trending/highest rated and that the community can keep the fire going until MM gets implemented into more activities.
-
Wow DeeJ, way to keep your cool. I would have had this guy banned lol. It's ridiculous that these lazy -blam!-s can't just get a group on LFG or these forums... Unbelievable
-
You are a -blam!-ing idiot
-
So Destiny must be the only game you play. Since all other games have matchmaking for lazy players.
-
Some people have lives, and don't want to spend the time to constantly scroll through the forums. If you have to leave the game, to play the game, that aspect of your game is broken.
-
"constantly" what? It takes me like 30 seconds to find a group of players. Stop half-assing it like "oh gotta find that one specific player" just look for some 32's, 33's or 34's and be done damn.
-
Nobody's half adding anything. Stop assuming, I'd gladly play with anyone that can join.
-
Well we can't argue with that response, it's up to the developers now
-
I respect you for not lashing out at this disrespectful child.
-
Are they gonna work on it? Or are we waiting for destiny 2? I do appreciate the response. Thanks
-
I thought the outcry for MM really spawned from a direct lack of meeting others directly in-game. There must be some creative idea to blend the philosophy of a "hand-picked" team and taking advantage of volume. Don't give up if your passionate about cherry picking, but you must realize that we need tools other than the forum to organize ourselves. A sophisticated Facebook for guardians in-game.

I agree with the post below, thank you for putting this on the wishlist. And please put autorifles on the wishlist. We have posted, liked, polled, re-posted, and bumped a hundred thousand times! Please please please do something for these weapons!

Edited by veggiebuddy: 6/2/2015 4:25:48 AMYou have no idea how much faith in Bungie and destiny you just gave me here. Although it is a little hard to believe that the forums are censoring things on their own, I guess I will just have to trust you. Please do your best and if you need help getting ideas for optional matchmaking there are many people out there who have some. And thank you for listening to the community, it is very reassuring knowing that you and the team are actually listening to the community. Now just to get the auto rifle buff on the wishlist XD
-
Its possible that people reported it thinking it is just another hate post or spam. This could get it moved.
-
Deej, thank you for adding to the wish list. I am now done campaigning for match making seeing how it is on the list. Thank you reading and responding to the community
-
LOL I can't tell if this is sincere of sarcasm. The wishlist is about as useful as writing a letter to Santa Claus
-
U still don't show an auto rifle buff on the list, or are you just abandoning them like you did with PVE?
-
MM FTW!!!
-
Thank you for acknowledging and responding to the community, deej. I'm sure we will all be anxiously waiting to see where we go from here
-
Edited by Unforgiven: 6/2/2015 2:02:09 AMThank you Deej. Did you complete Prison of Elders yet? Lolscrub :)
-
Thank you Deej!!!
