We're adding Matchmaking to the Wish List thread to acknowledge the request that has been made by many of you. You have my personal assurances that the design teams know you want it. They've seen the conversation.
My comments about using your time here to make friends and play games were an attempt to provide ideas for immediate solutions to the issue of needing people to play with. I'm not here to invalidate anyone's opinion, but I do have my own experiences with with building teams to play games together. If I could move one of you closer to taking matchmaking into your own hands, it would be worth the scorn.
As for deliberate forum censorship on the part of anyone at Bungie? I can guarantee that these things are not happening. The algorithms that sort forum topics do their own thing. The only time we influence that is when one of you is violating the code of conduct.

I sincerly hope that you will continue to do that, it goes over much better in the feedback forums than sarcastic comedy or canned responses. Now to be clear talking about mm is great, but we dont just want you to say we're discussing it only to come back and say we discussed it and it is still not happening. We actually need it in game, lfg 15 times a wk is going to get so old so fast and I still dont raid because of the hassle of looking for a group, not because I dont want to raid. And please make it optional so we have the choice, dont force mm on those who dont want it, or like to solo things. We love being given choices and options, not being forced to play a certain way. At this point I am just happy that you're acknowledging the community in a coherent way, it is a small step towards gaining players trust and approvement back if it matters, actually implementing optional matchmaking that should've been there from the start would be a big step. I will end by saying thanks again, and please raise the caps on glimmer, marks, ammo synths, planetary materials, consumables etc.. soon please. Please remove treasure comendations I mean keys, or just award them for completing PoE and put something else in the loot table for the wolfpack events maybe a small chance for elemental primarys or exotic gear, keep the wolfpacks, trash the keys, they are a bad idea just like comendations.

If these accusations of censorship are unfounded, then can you explain why the forum algorithms are removing posts asking for matchmaking? And can you explain why the community focus articles since at least March have been a backhanded slap to those of us who don't have time for manual match-making in the form of LFG sites and clans? Look, I understand that you're just a liason, and that your masters don't always loosen your leash. I work in the auto industry, acting as a liason between my company (the supplier) and my customer (the automaker). Sometimes I have to creatively work around a subject if I'm not allowed to provide an answer. However, if my customer pushes, I put on my big-boy pants, look at my supplier, and say "They won't take that answer. They need a good one, which means we'll need to eat crow on this." And you know what? They do the professional thing, and give me the authority to tell my customer, "Nope, you're right. We done goofed, and here's all that we're doing to try and fix it." All you've shown us, through this whole thing, is that it takes an outside publication to bring about any sort of actual response. At this point though, I don't trust it. And I doubt many of my fellow Guardians do either. We've been insulted every step of the way by a company that is too lazy, and just wants us to play the game their way. Do you and your masters forget what happened with Halo 2? The "Zombies" game mode that was made up by [i]players[/i] and was so well-liked that it ended up as a legitimate game mode in Halo 3? That's what happens when you let players play the way [i]they[/i] want, not the way [i]Bungie[/i] wants. Assuming we do believe you, is there any chance you could ask the supplier when we might see some optional match-making? Is there any chance you could, for once, give us a straight answer?

Much of us don't have the time to devote to any clan. That's why we want match-making. Our problems have been caused by a basic game element not being included.

What you need to understand is that finding a group is not that simple. I havn't been able to touch the Trials of Osiris. Don't get your hopes up, this could be just some attempt to get us to stop asking for this and we will see nothing of it.

First off. Thank you for an actual response!!!!! I'm a little disappointed it took 4 threads and about 170ish upvotes in 3 days to do that, but better late than never. I'm not going to lie here, I'm having a really hard time believing that not one, not two, or 3, but 4 times this algorithm problem (that was unheard of 2 weeks ago) popped my MM thread. And all in that same 3 days. Among dozens of others. If that's truly the case, I'd say it's well past time to review the use of that algorithm. And more now, on this game. And it's led to 1 in 5 having completed a raid(ONE IN FIVE). It's led to an all but torches and pitchforks scene with regards to the public outcry for matchmaking. Forbes has written not one, but two articles about it! The author seems like a decent guy btw, bit of light correspondence there, on a semi-related note. "If I could move one of you closer to taking matchmaking into your own hands, it would be worth the scorn." I'd like for you to clarify what you mean here before I respond. It took 3 insomnia riddled days of effort to get this close to a conversation, I'd like to avoid a misunderstanding of terms. It would be really nice if that could happen at some point soon, because I ----WANT--- to engage here, to have some level of a meeting of minds. In the interim however, let me again and with no sarcasm at all, thank you for taking 5 minutes out of your day to give an actual response. I wish you'd done so a week ago, the very very likely scenario then wouldn't have involved nearly so much vitriolic anger. That's all we, at the heart of the matter, needed. Even if it'd been "piss off we like LFG" anything would have been better than nothing nothing nothing, a question about a statue joke, nothing etc. I'm wait on that clarification before talking on that other bit I asked about. Don't use the 20% have completed a raid number kid you'll hurt yourself no more than 20% have even maxed out a single subclass on a single character type Less than 20% have got an exotic Something like 22% have gotten all legendary or better weapons equipped Which means a lot of people stopped playing either right before or after hitting lvl 20. If you look at the trophy stats on your console for other games you'll see that barely 20% ever beat any game other than wheel of fortune
