slaughter of osiris why even try ?
ok so i realize I'm not l337 and i have a FULL TIME job and a wife so i cant play crucible 18-23 hours a day to practice for trials of osiris so why do i have to play against people who do
im not angry cause i lost over and over and over I'm angry because
this is what i would expect if i took three people off the street gave them matching sticks and told them to take out a marine swat team
why do scrubs have to play against the 10 precent that are 9-0
this is suppose to be fun
obviously bungie is just using all the lower players to boast up the top level players
ohh your so good cause we matched you against a team that had no chance of even landing a shot on you
it might be better if you get locked out for the week once you 9-0
i see people running 99-0 so whats the point of playing
this has also ruined the rest of the game cant find players for any other activities.

4 mil divided by 200k lh visits
so 1 in 20 players get to win

every 9-0 went 9-0 at least twice
cause who would bother to not go get there prizes.

People who have never been to the lighthouse shouldn't have to continue to be canon fodder for those who have.

Additionally, you don't have to train hours a day. If you're good, you're good. If you're not, you're not, and at this point I don't think training would do much to change where one's skill level lies. If you want to have a causal, relatively equal playing field, regular crucible is the way to go. Do I lack sympathy in this instance? Yes. Why? Because so do the trials

Just do what I did. Played a bunch the first weekend and got my ass slaughtered. Then only played it once the next weekend (still got slaughtered). Bungie will get a f'n clue by the drastic change in participation. I'd put money down that Bungie won't be releasing any updated Osiris play stats.

Have lost a few pals to the greed of Osiris, personal view : it has lead to a divide between just trying to have fun and entitlement. I don't do great in crucible so why bother where your then pals will not help bring you up cause you could potentially bring them down. Play what like, not what you're forced to.

Their advertisement for this mode literally said "the most competitive game mode ever", and you think you can just stroll in, buy some f-ucking boons and get the best gear in the game? Give me a f-ucking break. If this game mode doesn't fit your lifestyle or skill, don't play it.

It's a tournament. You shouldn't to expect to find low level players in the Trials. You need to play with your team a few matches a day so you mesh. This is why there is no matchmaking.

6 RepliesLet the elitist have their little play pen and special clubhouse on Mercury. Quit even attempting to try the Trials of Osiris, you'll just pad up their 9-0 performance, making it easier for them. The average players should steer clear of this instance entirely. If the MLG PVPers want a true test of their abilities, then they'll compete only against each other. Because most of those 9-0 teams preyed upon the lesser experienced players the first week. Now, as more people realize that this isn't for them; I'm willing to bet those 9-0 totals dramatically decreased the 2nd week around. And as the Trials of Osiris progresses, there will only be a handful of MLG teams facing one another. Eventually players will leave the Trials of Osiris although. MLGers will move on when the kills don't fall down as easily. Bungie has successfully alienated it's larger audience once again, with this elitist play pen, allow them to reap what they have sowed.

10 RepliesDepending on when you started you only have yourself to blame. You do need to practice try skirmish as it is more like Osiris but I keep seeing plenty of people complaining that have been only Pve for months without touching pvp. If you didn't split your time earlier then the learning curve will take longer. Bungie isn't on your schedule. They do need to implement some sort of skill based matching maybe passage progress

I go 9-0 on three characters then volunteer my skills to the so-called "scrub" players you're referring to. One player doesn't make or break a team for Trials.

2 RepliesThe big question my friend is why haven't bungie either taken out the ability to revive teams to make is almost a copy of SnD OR why haven't they nerfed the warlocks self revive and the spam of team reviving.

1 ReplyI played as my lock and can use all of it's over powered abilities to kill teams but when I play as a Titan it's a laughing stock when the other team is 3 warlocks with self res the spam of fire bolt grenades and the melee shield winning every close range fight. This week got light house twice with a lock and went 9-1 on my hunter and titan( hungering being main) but the warlock is so dumb proof anyone can win with it.

I agree that there should be some sort of pairing system so that you are evenly matched but it is a game of skill and a blast to play. Nothing more nail biting then being on your last couple matches and going 4-4 and taking the win. I read a suggestion from someone that was a great idea. There should be two trials passages 1 that locks you out from the lighthouse but has an unlimited amount of loses so that people that are not as good can grind it out durning the week for 9 wins and buy the armor, weapon, and packages from brother Vance. 2nd passage should be just how it is... Go 9-0 or as many wins before three losses for the more experienced. This would allow all players to get the rewards including awesome new armor but only lock them out from the elemental primary weapons. It would also give newer teams the ability to practice until they think they can rock the 9-0 score.

I haven't even tried the ToO because I was pretty sure that I would just be a target. I am not complaining about the better players because they put the work in to be good. I just wish the rewards that pvp players get would be offered to pve players. I want the Fate of All Fools but I can't get the bounty for it unless I play ToO so I'd better want something else.
