*evac arrives just meters away and turns around while opening the bay. Escort ships come into the atmosphere and hover above your position.*

*the vehicles speed into the bay, tires almost leaving the floor as they come over the lip. the drop ship shudders as its thrusters force it's large body off the ground. the moons surface falls away in the same moments the ships leaves it. the ship speeds up toward space.*

*the escort ships fall in line with you and lead you back to the Alamo* (Over comms) Explorer-1 come in this is command, report! We're reading a lot of life signs in your area."

"we lost a vehicle and two of our men, the moon collapsed under their tires. the rest of us are alright maybe some bruises. what do you mean you are detecting life? is it on the surface of the moon?" *looks out window of the cockpit at the gray satellite*

I think I see something on the surface though." *looking out the small glass window the explorer sees sections of the sand begin to shake away. three long tentacle like organisms burst through the surface and into the air. there is an explosion and the transport leading the pack falls toward the surface of the moon.* "oh shit! evasive maneuvers, now! gain altitude!" *over comms* "sir, are you seeing this?!"

"copy that, over." *leaving the moons atmosphere some of the men peer out the bay window at the large celestial object. as it shrinks into the distance a streak of light arcs across the blackness of space and collides with the satellite causing a flower of fire and grey dust.*
