Banned For What?
Last week I was banned from Destiny. I believe that it was because my opponents either left or where disconnected mid-game. If a Bungie member could confirm my suspicions to be true, I would be willing to provide proof that I did not cheat to gain my wins. I had multiple games where I spawned a game with no opposing team.
I had over 100 wins last weekend in Trials of Osiris and only 10 or so had opponents that disconnected.

8 RepliesSo there are Account Restrictions and Bans in Destiny - these are two separate entities. Account Restrictions are temporary, while Bans are permanent. Bungie does not dispute or overturn either of them. All the details you need can be found at their official policy here. Your kills were average for the amount of games you played and you had a 1.19 K/D which shows you probably weren't lagging players out. My best guess is that you may have been playing with people who were cheating. Idk, I have also started a match with no opponents but figured it was because they didn't want to play us. Good luck man.

1 Replyas i can see on your hunter you have 4 wins that are close together with 0-0 and the enemy team only has 1-2 people vs you 3. just know even if someone in your fireteam was doing it and didn't tell you guys. (which if you did know he was doing it you probably wouldn't confess) but you would be banned too. and another way. if you lag switch to kick someone out or to use to your advantage. bungie can look at your ping you had and see the exact moment it went up and down. ( so they can tell if your lagswitching) so i'm not pointing fingers at you just giving you a heads up. no point in trying to argue if your proof is invalid. But you say you have proof. so i have faith in you, goodluck with the account situation

Sorry Guardian they will not discuss it. Period. Full stop. End of discussion. This is why I don't want my son in trails anymore. I don't need to explain to him he has been banned because other ppl cheated on his team. Now he is to afraid to even play anymore because of what is happening.

1 ReplyBy reading your comments here I believe you didn't cheat..that being said either you or one of your teammates cheated..one of you three aren't saying the truth and that one person obviously got all of you guys banned..I know you say they are your friends and none of you cheated..but that's just not the case with one of you and therefore by all of you benefiting from it by winning you all three were banned..I'm not saying you deserved it if you didn't cheat bc I believe you don't if you didn't know your teammate was cheating..but that's a whole different conversation entirely..fact is one of you three cheated plain and simple..this proof you say you have might just prove you didn't cheat but it's not gonna prove anything about your fire team bc you aren't in their account obviously..sorry you got banned must suck..just know you weren't banned by speculation that's just ridiculous

15 RepliesSomeone in your team must have done the lagswitch. Bungie doesn't seem to be able to pin point who was causing it but rather bans the whole fireteam. I am in the same boat as you. I got banned even tho myself and my friend I let play for me did not cheat. Someone in my fire team was doing it and just like you there is no real way of knowing it. To you it's random opponent getting disconnected to bungie you were cheating. I hope bungie can take a second look at the ban wave from last week and reconsider turning it into a temporary ban.
