Gaurdians are being booted from fire teams mid-game after putting in hard work. '
Guardians are unable to find groups in the Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris because of elitist requirements.
With the house of wolves came a noticable shift in this community. We are now in a era of elitist assholes. The best solution to this newly created problem is to add optional matchmaking to all activities but Bungie refuses to listen to us.
If you want optional matchmaking and/or to put an end to this elitism. I suggest creating your own post and bumping existing topics!

Its seems there is a disproportionate number of elite vs non-elite. If there so many people that do not have Gally and therefore not done PoE 34 or 35, its ur fault. There are plenty of people without Gally chomping at the bit to do these activities. How is it so hard to find each other? Don't say LFG, cause I see plenty of posts not requiring Gally.

I don't understand how people find these LFG jerks. I play LFG all the time. Like, every PoE, Raid, and Nightfall since September. Out of the several hundred raids, nightfalls, and PoE challenges, I can count on ONE HAND the amount of "elitists" I've encountered. I've never kicked anyone, and have only been kicked once from anything, and that was because "their buddy just signed in, sorry" (douchey, but I just found another group. no worries.) Posting in a recruitment thread and expecting someone to invite YOU is foolish. Sure, it may happen, but you're assuming someone is going to take the time to enter your GT. Either start a post to host a group and have them message YOU for an invite, or start sending messages until you get in. Second, BE HONEST. If you're hosting, state what you want to do, and the "condition" you're in (no Gally, first time, need guidance, want to learn sword, etc.). If you get invited, be up front, and don't get ruffled if they're unhappy. Honestly, I invite the challenge of taking lower level players through nightfalls and raids. If I see a post looking for help, I'll invite that person over a "34 max everything" because there's some extra satisfaction potentially in store. One of my favorite things is hearing someone get their first Gally, and there are many like me. We are Legion.

Edited by Der Sheff: 7/7/2015 11:01:20 PM
Gaurdians are being booted from fire teams mid-game after putting in hard work.
I have heard of this happening. It is a shame. I recommend starting any activity as the fireteam leader.
Guardians are unable to find groups in the Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris because of elitist requirements.
Guardian's being plural is indicative of multiple people being mutually excluded from 'elitist' groups and suggests that they should be able to find each other, unless they paradoxically set requirements they themselves can't meet. Your statement here is at odds with itself.
With the house of wolves came a noticable shift in this community. We are now in a era of elitist assholes.
Speak for yourself. I get that a rotten apple spoils the batch, but there are wholesome batches out there. This 'we' you speak of do not have a place on my friends list or in any clan I belong to. I've only seen 'elitist assholes' posting on LFG. And I ignore them.
The best solution to this newly created problem is to add optional matchmaking to all activities but Bungie refuses to listen to us.
This problem is NOT new. People will always request that you have the best XYZ of anything for any competitive event or event where success above anything else is desired. This is honestly your worst case for matchmaking. Just say that people want it and it should be made optional so players can maintain private lobbies and play as they want. No harm, no foul.
If you want optional matchmaking and/or to put an end to this elitism. I suggest creating your own post and bumping existing topics!
All said and done, 'additional matchmaking options' is on the wish list. Bungie know's the community wants it. And, in all honesty, all you're doing with optional MM is creating an environment for 'non-elitists' to band together. There will still be people on LFG looking for 4 level 34's with Gjally to beat Atheon on hard. We used to crush Atheon with all 29's and felt like king-sh*t if we had a level 30. Two level 30's and we were a made fireteam. Anyhow, you are right, but for the wrong reasons, which is why I am writing this obscenely long response.

Yes! I totally agree with you. This is a huge problem. Bungie needs to do something but I wouldn't hold my breath. They don't seem to care anymore. Bump

BUMP !! ADD OPTIONAL MATCHMAKING

-
Our call lizard squad to completely ruin it for bungie, then they'll hear us
-
Not to rain on your parade but the higher level difficulties in PoE require a Gally or it makes it almost impossible. Thank bungie for that. Lv34-35 PoE full gallys are needed to beat the last boss. Except for skolas this week but in any other scenario they are needed. Its not the elitists fault its bungies fault. These people that may require a maxed Gally to join their groups are just trying to beat it without wiping several times
-
I guess I'm an elitist then :)
-
Bump. Gjallarhorn owners run things here because bungie allows it.

Elitest assholes have been around since the game launched. When searching LFG and forums for groups, instead of joining groups other people post for, try posting for what you want. Post that you are looking to run PoE level 32 for the first time. Or wanting to give Trials a shot but you aren't that great at pvp. (I don't know if you are or arent, I'm not judging one way or the other.) But whatever you are looking for, post it and be honest about your experience and skill. Elitest assholes will skip right past you and the more helpful people will invite you to join them. Also, maybe try joining a clan? Clan members usually help each other out with everything.

Edited by wholeshizer: 5/30/2015 4:48:37 PMIf you get booted mid game maybe you should host the fire team next time And wanting someone who can actually help you complete an activity isn't elitist. It's called common sense. I could either get someone good and get it done in an hour or i could get some scrub with blue weapons and not get it done And the so called elitists have been here since the vault of glass opened up......requiring lvl 30s only kept a lot of people out of hard mode because it was actually challenging to Get the armor you needed back then But you must be new at the game so I'll take it easy on you
