used to be a time when the weekend was a time to catch up with your clan mates and do a few raids/nightfalls etc and any other things you haven't got round to doing during the week. clan mates mixing and matching to get the most out of the content. everyone playing with everyone and generally just having a good time. always someone about to help out and for you to help.
then house of wolves dropped and i have barely seen my clan mates. start of the week players group into a team of 3 for all the new content.they do all the POE. then in the tiny gap upto trials you may see them to burn out all 6 raids in 1 night because they can't be spread out over the week. trials arrives and that group of 3 spend the whole weekend doing all 3 characters to 9 wins. if you are lucky they won't be burnt out and will help out at the end of it
why POE and TOO couldn't have been 3-6 players i don't know. would have allowed for clans to still play together more often while still allowing the solo players to group up.
when my clan mates are available it's all good but when they are not i must play with randoms or not play at all. last weekend i was on and barely played because TOO took up most of my clans time. this week is looking the same. i can't blame my clan mates because the game tells them to play with 3 people and you are not going to change a winning formula until you have won all you can.
