Hunters are OP. Here is the proof!
This link shows the best scores for individual characters in the crucible from all consoles combined into one leader board. Hunters are the clear winner.
So upon request I will be updating this post to be more specific as to what is "OP" about Hunters. Also if I do not respond within a decent amount of time I do apologize but the volume of "salty" and angry people is outstanding and I can only have so many conversations at once. I have decided to one up your requests by doing an experiment. This project of mine will be making a hunter recording my stats and games and comparing them to my warlock and see if I make an improvement in my crucible stats. I have all of my old hunter gear still available so it wont be to hard to level plus I have farmed plenty of ,materials with both of my farming warlocks.
Later I will make a titan and compare all three. I will do the math so you don't have to!

3 RepliesLook on Destiny Tracker at the profiles of all the top players and look at their KDs across their characters. She's my nerd is a good example, there is a graph of character KD and the Warlock and Hunter are close to the top while the Titan is several points behind on KD.

Here's my issue with your OPINION of hunters being OP because that's all it is your OPINION. Are you suggesting if these high caliber players were to switch to a warlock or a Titan they wouldn't still be as high in the rankings as they are? The players are what make a class great not the class itself. Let's compare me to someone like she's my nerd to prove my point. I suck as a warlock because I don't have time played as one to match the time I've played hunter. He's the best destiny player on earth and he's not a main hunter he plays Sunsinger warlock. You're complaining about an irrelevant bunch of numbers. People play hunters because they're enjoyable not because they're OP. It's more satisfying to find your kills with your super instead of pressing a panic button like a Titan or Voidwalker.

Lets just pretend for a moment that those facts actually proved something, and that hunters are overpowered. WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST DOING?!? HUH??? Let's take away the throwing knife or the long distance of blink strike? Let's make hunters float instead of jump? Take away the aim assist on golden gun? Make it so you can only turn invisible 2 times per match? No head shot ability on knives? No flux grenade? No tripmine? No trance? No quickdraw? ALL OF THESE SUGGESTIONS ARE DUMB. AS IS YOUR ARGUMENT. here's my take: Hunters were the main advertising focus before release in photos and commercials and when destiny started and even now, more people choose hunters. Now wait, that doesn't explain why they are used by the top players ... Well it kinda does ... See if more people play with them more people get killed by them and then it starts this paradigm shift that may NEVER be reversed. People don't use suppression grenades on titans...why? They just don't see how useful they are....people don't use juju and obsidian mind enough on warlocks... Why? Cuz they are still too busy thinking if they should join the masses and main a Hunter in PvP. Just work on your game. You got this!

Have you even noticed how "op" warlocks' grenades are? The void walker scatter grenade does way more damage than that of a hunter's swarm grenade, the axion bolt grenade can track you across the f**king map and has a BLAST RADIUS!? The sunsingers have the firebolt grenade that acts like the hunter's arcbolt grenade expect that arcbolt can't ONE-SHOT you, and the fusion grenade curves as well as the damn Truth can around corners. Warlocks are so annoying, hunters are easily outweighed.

Ever thought the best players use hunters because they move and jump the most like every other shooter on the market. Hear me out , take away the double jump , blink , and super. Now what do you have? A character that moves and jumps and plays most like every other shooter , far more than the Titan or Warlock . Just the difference in jump styles makes the Hunter more like Halo or CoD than Titans or Warlocks. This is why the best players are hunters, the players never had to learn another play style , just used what they already knew. Titans and Warlocks had to learn completely different jump mechanics and deal with the insta-drop that readying your weapon causes while in the air , just to start.

5 RepliesThe only thing I hate about the Hunter is its golden gun. Three easy kills which come with extra points due to the triple kill medal and super kill medal. Oh you just created orbs? Now your Hunter team mate can use golden gun. What's that? You have a class ability that lowers the cool down for golden gun? And there's a helmet that gives you four shots? Oh look all I've died by is golden gun the last 3 times... And yes I have a Hunter. The super is easy to use.
