edit: Additional Matchmaking Options has been added to the wish list, this could be good or bad since it does not say optional or for all activities but it is a step forward.
Dear Bungie
please respond not with a philosophy respond honestly.
why are you not responding to the request for optional matchmaking, we want a nice clear answer with no crap philosophy?
why must we go off a console game to make a clan/group/fireteam on a PC when it should already be supported in the game?
why is all of your Matchmaking mandatory and not optional?
why is Optional Matchmaking a bad thing?
why does the End game content have to be for only the elitist?
why is there no Social chat in the Social spaces?
where is the EPIC story in the game?
why do we have to do so much out of the game?
lastly
what is with all these weak philosophy that do not support the game?

Plus one, what's the harm if its optional? The other people on the other side of the fence act as if its going to effect or hurt them. You do you and use LFG. I'm happy with the risk of matchmaking.
and here is one for YOU fellow Guardians:
If Bungie announced that a optional matchmaking or LFG system was coming with Destiny's fourth expansion, would you continue to support the game regardless of its price?
simple questions, just waiting for answers
we're all here, not to bust Bungie's balls (Marty did that already), but because we all love this game (or the 2013 game that we all remember and loved).

Ever play elimination match made with randoms? It's literally the most infuriating experience available in modern gaming. They don't revive and basically try to 3v1 the other team like they are John Woo or something. This, my friend, is why matchmaking is a stupid idea. Just make pages of friends during your LFG attempts at whatever and a build a network of people on when you play from there. If you can't do that, don't expect to have end game content made available for that way of thinking. End game content requires close teamwork and communication. Matchmaking is silent and for lone wolfs who annoy the hell out of you.

Edited by CatMan: 8/25/2015 2:53:59 AMYou....you know what there doing, right (clear throat) they are nerfing destiny ):-/ And it depends on the price( and we know there will be a high one) of the 4th dlc, and if they also make matchmakers for everything I may stick around but........we........dream :/ I just wish they had a goooood reason why they haven't added a matchmaker yet, and that problem is not even the tip of the iceberg. They got 99 probs, but…........

If they add MM and its not optional, there will be pitchforks. They will be aimed not only at Bungie, but you and a select few others as well.

I have plenty of people to play with game with. I have four pages full of people to play with. The problem with people is that they are anti-social and greedy. They only want to interact with other people when they need something from them. Also, some people are complete dicks in the game. I can see why they would demand matchmaking. That would force people to play with them and put up with their bs. I'm glad matchmaking is a part of the game. If you can't make friends you have issues.

I didn't buy HoW. I won't buy TTK. But if their 4th expansion introduced in-game MM options for ALL content... I've buy them all. Until then playing Destiny is too much of a chore.

Jason Jones ( OXM October 2014 ), on creating easy points of entry: "Destiny has got to acknowledge that you usually come to computer games tired, impatient and distracted by all the cares of your real life. We have to remember that players don't want to work hard to get involved in a game." So what the hell happened? What requires less work? Having to hunt for players on a flippin website or clicking a in game button for matchmaking. I don't care about randoms, etc. I will risk that. Who hasn't played as a random?
