Someone as organized and well spoken as OP would make an amazing Clan leader.
No disrespect to your opinion or feedback. Trying to make helpful suggestions.

Even its easier to find a group in warframe and they didn't need a mobile app

While that may be true, OP is, if I may speak for him though I'm sure he doesn't need it, saying he doesn't want to be a clan leader. Neither do I. I want access to the content I paid for. It should not be challenging for me to do that. Saying that your philosophy for this game is to deny players the tools they need to access the content you created is baffling. A work around is supposed to be a temporary situation before a real solution is implemented. Not the standard operation procedure. Look, Deej, no one is buying that "philosophy". The poll above sort of tells you that, no? At this point, I don't even care. I just want to know what the hold up is. Is it technological? Like can matchmaking not be implemented in all systems equally or some weird shit? There are plenty of clever solutions to the problems to matchmaking that you and others have posed. I've read them on these forums over and over. It leads me to believe that the issue isn't the issues. Its the tech or some other pervasive problem. Just tell us. We're adults. We can handle it. You don't have to lie or obfuscate like we're six and our dog just died. Be honest. It would help your credibility and the credibility of your company quite a bit.

Nice job avoiding any actual content in the thread, I hope OP gets your job

My problem is that I don't have the time to go group hunting and schedule syncing... My schedule is constantly I flux so I never know when I will get to play nor for how long... So this makes VoG, CE, and KF completely inaccessible for me... Been playing since Christmas Year 1 and have never been able to run VoG or CE... And I'm not even going to waste time with KF... For me my only option is enjoy normal matchmaking PvE and Crucible until 11/10/15 when I get Fallout 4 and can finally have a game where I can actually participate in all events... Oh and FYI I use to play FFXIV:ARR and thnx to matchmaking was able to complete all Raids... So thnx Bungie for screwing me out of content

What a slimey way to avoid any of the OP points. These guys should be in politics, but i guess they couldn't take the pay cut.

I've seen the same simulation answer on other threads... lol

Anything, except answer the question or give actual feedback to what the OP is saying. I really don't see why you crawl out from under harold ryans desk at all for.

That's it ? What community manager

DeeJ, I see your point However, the point of this post was to create an environment in which meeting people, making new friends, and forming a clan would be made more easy. As of now, the forums are the best form of clan recruitment. Now, I'm willing to bet not all of the players visit the forums, and I'm willing to bet a good number of those people would like to do the raids. I would love to take a poll for you, but I suppose 0% would answer "I don't visit the forums but wish I could do the raids." What I'm getting at is, you, the people who work at Bungie, want a friendly environment that is inclusive of all people, but you are deliberately excluding those that do not use the forums. I, for one, am very lucky to have a group of friends who are online as often as I am who are always willing to do the raid, and we like finding new people to play with. We enjoy helping new people. GIH would continue to find new members if we met players through the forums and through Optional MM. The only thing that would change, if there was an Optional MM is that clan leaders, such as our leaders, would have more avenues to find and recruit members. That said, GIH does not actively recruit, but a majority of our members are randoms that asked to join. Why the community is likely jumping on this response is the fact that you spoke without thinking critically about what you were saying. I see your logic, but it is flawed. Clans would grow faster, more friends would be made, and in turn, more players would enter raids in closed, handpicked, fireteams if there were optional matchmaking, because the easier it is to make friends and build a clan, the more friends you would have online at any given time. Suppose you're one short for a raid, go to matchmaking find one random person, and interact with them. They would get invited to the party, just because finding them is made easier doesn't mean the raid requires less communication. They turn out to be a really good player and/or they fit in well with the group, but they're a casual player who never thought to use the forums. That person just made 5 new friends and a regular raiding group to play with. The current system doesn't force people to make friends, it actually creates a barrier. I mean no disrespect, just trying to offer helpful feedback.

Yes, he should deffinitely go to the IN-GAME KIOSK and start up a clan.... Ohhh wait, there isn't one. Who knew an ONLINE game would have no IN-GAME way of finding an end game group (besides random invites). Maybe in Destiny: The Non Beta, it will have all the stuff we "complain" for.....
-
Just want to ask again... how did you meet your halo clan way back when? Was it perhaps through a matchmade halo game?

Deej, when you have 0 likes and over 300 comments, I think that should send a clear signal regarding this kind of response. Rather than making a comment which sidesteps the whole point in this well organised and laid out thread (which makes your response feel like a slap btw)you should have addressed some concerns. I feel like you are some random dude working in a call centre with no control over what happens. Which is probably true. That must be frustrating. Iv worked in call centres and its not really fun when you can only say what you are allowed to say. Stick to the scrip. Dont offer anything. Actually, you did slap him and many of us with this comment. Basically, your helpful suggestion which Im sure you are totally honest with, I dont doubt your sincerity and effort, but this kind of comment actually damages the reputation of your company even more. You are essentially compounding the idea that players have to go outside the bounds of your game to find each other, as if people wouldnt do that anyway! Regardless of whether you meant no disrespect, it comes across as clear disrespect and shows a complete disconnect with the pulse of the community which has been crying out for optional matchmaking for as long as I have been looking at posts. I give the benefit of the doubt and try to see all sides but Im losing what little faith I had rather rapidly. But you cant say nothing I guess. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.

Edited by Jake cant shoot: 9/8/2015 4:13:42 AMThis needs it's own thread mate. A gem hidden away among these comments

Ah cheers dude :) Im not gonna make it a thread of its own tho, I dont feel it would have the same impact.

..I think real answer to this would be "..shut up meg"

Tell us what the designers have to say as to why. I don't want to hear what you think because you have no hand in the creation. Tel me what the people who make these things have to say.

Edited by harrymfa: 8/29/2015 12:19:59 PMThis is about MILLIONS of people who you have flipped the bird for not LISTENING to an issue addressed on a daily basis since the game launched. You have to reach a compromise and act like adults. Right now you (Bungie) are looking like boneheaded jackasses.

Why does this Game even Have a philosophy when there are Giant Holes in the Beginning, Middle, and End of its Design and Creation. (=₃=)
-
It's to cover up those holes lol

He most likely would, to bad there isn't an in game clan system. Like I said in the other post, some form of in game group system (clan/guild) is not only useful but also a staple for any online RPG.
