That's basically just rewording what sin and disobeying is, not telling me how it got there.

Edited by SSG ACM: 5/28/2015 10:44:50 PMYou are still not understanding me. Sin is the realized or known transgression of the law (common or natural; in this case, God's). Whenever anyone does a wrong or an elicit deed, it is not sin. It becomes sin as soon as the guilty party commits it after knowing that it's wrong or after knowing that it transgresses law. That's why Jonah (if you are familiar with the story) was commanded to tell Nineveh, the capital of ancient Assyria, to stop their wickedness, which was at the time not considered sin. Do you understand? Because they didn't know that what they (the people of Nineveh) were doing was wicked is why those "wicked" people were not justified damnation since they didn't know that what they were doing was wrong. If you read https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+2%3A13-15&version=NASB, it explains how these individuals are justified even without the law of God, which is also known as His Word.

But commiting a sin, is a choice correct?
-
Yes but I'm a Muslim so what do I know?
-
I'm not completely sure if my argument will work for your beliefs because it is tailored for Christianity but I will make it anyway if you wanna go there. ( I don't mean argument in a negative way, I just mean it like a talk I guess). So do you believe in heaven, or something like it?
-
There is a Paradise and Hell in Islam yes. Heaven/Heavens is something else. Quran distinguishes between the two. But I know what you mean when you say heaven
-
Okay, so taking into account that sin is a byproduct of freewill, and there isn't sin in "heaven", that would eliminate the possibility of their being free will in heaven.
-
The thoughts of doing bad things or saying bad words will be gone. You won't be able to do it. So I guess you do lose free will.
-
I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound like "heaven" to me.
-
It's not a place where you can commit evil acts. Once you are there you're not getting out and you wouldn't want to anyway. There is no greed or jealousy up there. People in heaven will know what sin is since they'll have memories of their life on Earth but nothing will motivate them to do it. It's just something that won't cross your mind to do.
-
We know about sin not as it is classified in various holy books. Thousands of holy book that all say different things, each one with the same amount of validity as the last.
-
The sins in Islam and Christianity are almost the same but the difference is that in Islam not all sins are equal and there is no original sin.
-
True, I find that more moral than Christianity and Judaism. However, that doesn't give it any validity.
-
Just telling you what I know
-
I respect that

Edited by SSG ACM: 5/29/2015 12:37:53 AMDo you understand what sin is? I'm still under the impression you still don't understand what it is.
