I think he only means he differs from how they identify sexually. How would they not be treated equally?

[quote]How would they not be treated equally?[/quote]when gays are denied the legal rights and protections that come with marriage, they are denied equal treatment under the law.

In America, everyone is supposed to be equal. So based on that, then yes they should be allowed that right. But I don't categorize gays with labels and avoid or turn a cold shoulders to. I have gay friends. And I've met gays who believe in God and are absolutely terrified that they won't be accepted into heaven for being gay. All I can towards that is they have one interesting conversation waiting on them once they finish their lives here on Earth. And that I can pray for them.
