Mega Man X. The base game itself isn't hard but the final battle with Sigma is just ridiculous. Also, any Contra game (as long as you're doing it without the assistance of the Konami Code.

Man i remember having to fill all the damn E - tanks over and over killing the worms everytime i died. Then I found out megaman can get the hadouken ability and rekt the shit outa sigma
