Are Titans the weakest in the Crucible, or am I just worse than I think?

I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

One word: Grenades. Lightning grenades are devastating at controlling movement and denying opponents access to parts of the map. Flashbangs temporarily BLIND your opponents. Toss one into a room where enemies are showing up on your radar before you move in....and you can put as many as three people down before they manage to be able to see again. The Crucible is a much more lethal environment than you are used to. Plus success is more dependant on team tactics (lone wolves die early and often), and on creating MISMATCHES. So you need to learn about the other weapons that people are carrying. Learn their ranges. Learn their strenghts and limitations. Press fights when you have the advantage, retreat---if you can---when you don't. Or if you can't retreat, change the nature of the fight. If you're outmatched by the other guy's primary. Hunker down and wait for help....or switch you your special weapon. Shotguns and fusion Rifles are genereally OHKs at close range. The reverse is true. Never chase a wounded player behind cover while armed with your primary. You will wind up getting a shotgun shoved up your nose and your head blown off. Also learn to control your distances. Learn how to flank and close if you prefer to fight up close. Learn how to backpedal while firing if your weapon needs to fight at a certain distance to be successful....and someone's trying to rush you. Lastly. DONT" STAND YOUR GROUND when being rushed. Unless you KNOW for a FACt that you have enough firepower to kill the guy before he gets into range. Someone who is bum rushing you is going to do one of a few things....none of which are good for you. 1. You'll get supered. Nova Bomb or FoH. 2. You'll get slide-shotgunned. 3. You'll get blink-shotgunned. All of these require the person doing them to committ to attacking a SPOT. You foil them by NOT BEING THERE when they make their final strike. Ninety percent of the people who use these tactics are so used to people trying to strand their ground and slug it out, your moving away from that spot confuses them...and they lose their advantage. RARE is the attacker who can adjust to your unexpected motion and continue to press the attack. I ran into ONE about a week ago...and I got to give the guy credit. He was relentless. He kept blink-rushing...I"d dodge. He'd adjust and keep pressing the rush. It sometimes take him three or for attempts to finally put me down. But he was able to keep up the pressure long enough to keep me from escaping or counter-attacking. But someone like this is extremely rare....and extremely good.
