So I have been playing destiny since the Beta. It is an addictive game and now a few of my friends are playing on the some platform I can enjoy the game even more.
But that is not the point of this post. As a minority in the population I suffer from red green colour blindness. Also known as protonopia. To answer your questions yes I still see red and green but I basically I get them confused with each other same with other similar colours. My eyes are a lot more sensitive to colour brightness. Basically I see the world a lot duller than everyone else. This also means that my red is slightly different to your red.
For example when I see a banana I cannot tell if it is ripe or not. I mainly struggle with close colour groups blue-purple, green-gold, yellow-White red-green, red-brown. The list goes on. Now this becomes a problem because when engrams and ammo spawn I can get them confused. You can imagine every time a blue engram gets dropped by an enemy my heart skips a beat because I think it is purple. Same goes for green and exotics.
Well fiddling around with some settings the other day I found a protonopia mode in game. Which I immediately switched on and finally saw destiny the way it was meant to be seen. I finally understood why everyone said it was such a beatific looking game and no more engram and ammo problems. It has made the game play so much better.
So thank you bungie for thinking of a small minority of people.
