I know they don't warp reality in multiple universes, but the Precursors from the Halo universe. If they can block slipspace travel in a galaxy, then imagine in what other ways they can warp their universe, especially if they were at their full power. And, of course, they were the ones who created the Flood, even if the Flood is a cancerous, damaged monstrosity that the Precursors didn't expect to be created. I've heard they can also transcend the need for physical bodies.

Many precursors turned into a "dust" after the Flood outbreak (if I remember correctly. It was some type of powder). At any moment they so choose, they can manifest themselves with their bodies again, or make a new one.
"A few were spared. Some adopted new strategies for survival; they went dormant. Others became dust that could regenerate our past forms; time rendered this dust defective. It brought only disease and misery; but that was good, we saw the misery and found it good."
This is from page 174 of Silentium. Basically, the Precursors did become dust, but the dust was eventually corrupted and instead of regenerating the Precursors, it created the Flood instead. And the Precursors, in their insane lust for revenge, used it to attack and nearly destroy the Forerunner empire and the entire galaxy.

Thank you for that piece. I knew dust became of some of the Precursors, but to the extent of that, I did not know. Didn't some of them leave the galaxy, while the Forerunners did the same much later down the road?

A bit late, however, thought you would like to know, Halo Primordium Pg 364 "Those who created you were defied and hunted,' the Captive said. 'Most were extinguished. A few fled beyond your reach. Creation continued." Primordial talking about the Precursors

Perhaps some left the galaxy, and I think they would certainly have the ability to travel to other galaxies, but I don't think it's ever said for certain and so we don't know.
