Treasure keys are too far too random to come by, and the need for them is becoming a problem. Without there being an at least 50% to 100% sure fire way to get them, and with needing them to finish up an exotic bounty/open the main huge chest in the loot room, it just seems to present a bigger flaw to the overall DLC. Why run 34 or 35 when you can't get the key to have your chance of landing that exotic you've been hunting down?
With right now the only somewhat way of landing a Treasure Key is to mash out the bounties Petra gives you on reset which will land you a Queen's Favor package which possibly will contain a key, (All based on RNG) farm patrols, wait for the wolves, and hunt down the chest, praying to get a key (Another solely based on RNG) or finish the story missions which will land you a guaranteed key.
What can be done to fix this problem? Well, I've been talking to some friends and have been looking on the forums, and there were actually some really good suggestions. One of the ones I thought would make sense is being able to trade some form of currency in the new DLC for Keys. Being able to trade Token's of Judgment, Motes of Light, or Strange Coins for 1 key would seem reasonable enough. Another one that seemed common was for Petra Venj to give you a guaranteed key for completing to weekly bounties she gives you. You kill the targets, come back to her, return them, get the key, run PoE, open the chest and everything is great. The one that I had my mind set on was once you beat Skolas, you also get a key which seems fair as well.
Long story short, there should just be at least one sure way to be able to get keys. Truth be told farming keys on the Archers Line or any other planet for three hours only to get 1 or no key at all, seems absurd to say the least and if not fixed, will turn people off to continue to play Prison of Elders.
