Haha. I know your question is somewhat rhetorical, but I think it stems from the root problem that the companion app is branded, "Destiny." I think if I were a brand spanking new member, and I signed on through the app, I'd see "Destiny" at the top and think one of two things... 1) Oh, that's sort of redundant. 2) That must be information about the game. I'd scroll a little bit, see #Gaming and think, "Oh, this must be where Destiny gamers are hanging out. Frustrating.
