Also, please explain how aligning the barrel to the cylinder/hammer on revolvers would negatively impact the game in any way.

Better question is how would it affect the game in a positive way? You have to be just looking for something to complain about. Sorry bungie didn't set the guns the way you like, it must be a tragedy for you.

You're assuming a hand cannon works like a revolver. Other than tlw, it could all be for show and style, while the internal mechanisms handle the real function.
