I have this gun and the hammer is functional if you pull it back you put the revolver in single action.

  • That's not what it means to have a functional hammer. For the hammer to be functional, it needs to be the object that strikes the charge that fires the round. The hammer on the Rhino is false. It rotates the cylinder and cocks the weapon in single-action mode. It does not fire the weapon has the hammers on traditional revolves do, and as the hammers on the hand cannons in Destiny are shown to do.

  • How can you be sure the hand cannons in destiny don't function in a similar way to the rhino though.

  • Because the animations don't support that assertion. The hammer is obviously shown to be striking the firing pin on the hand cannons, while the hammer in the Rhino does not.
