For those of you who are more lucky than I and have sweet internet that doesn't randomly take a shit in your house only, I am curious about your strats for ToO.
The guys that have multiple wins or even the ones who didn't but played sufficiently to see what works and what doesn't; what was the best strategy you used or saw used??
Guardian type, weapons, position, strategy in total?

So I finally got to play last night. What I found to work is two rush mid to close and 1 stay back with Thorn or snipe. Two up close be really good at close quarters and 1 staying somewhat back be good at covering. EVERYONE use call outs, even if you're dead.Start the match with something that has field scout so during your death or round change, you can switch to a different special weapon and have maxed out special ammo. I usually rushed their heavy round with my Golden gun. And as a BIG surprise to all of you I'm sure, Pocket Infinity was my main gun of choice. Shout out to Buff for running me through my first trial. Sorry we couldn't get it but seriously, there were UNGODLY TERRIBLE Connections. Shout out to PoP and Dropped as we are on a running 11 game win streak.

Here was my ToO strategy ... - die at an inopportune time and listen to drop saying "arrow don't!" And then watching 3 blue skulls show up - shoot my shotgun at short range only to watch them survive, kill me and tea bag me Rush in with vex and get outgunned by thorn Rush in with thorn and get outgunned by vex Rush in with last word and get no scoped by a sniper Use my super, have the warlock self res and kill me Toss a grenade to no effect Lock on with a rocket and miss There are probably others but I blacked out and have only recovered with powerful mood enhancing drugs and quiet time

I start every round with Efrideets Spear, dump 2 shots and usually start with a kill. If I get it you can rush for the 3 on 2 which worked well against some teams. The Vex Mytho is a crusher; I switched over to it and absolutely destroyed with it. If connection is good I can cross map with it too. I found it is tough to rush a good team that is holding the beach. Best to wait out if they are doing that and try to pull them inside. Just too much cover outside and not enough inside. Especially if they are running Red Death. A lot of teams will rush top middle as well; that is a perfect set up to snipe across with final round Spear. Surprised I didn't see more people rocking it though.

I've played trials three times and went flawless twice. Before the match even begins check the roster to see what the enemy is running to get a feel for how you think theyll play. If theyre running last word and shotty, theyre most likely going to rush, check for subclass, etc. I run a gunslinger with Thorn and shorty, switching to snipes situationally. I played somewhat aggressive, always on the move to get reads on the radar and to find out where they are posted up and try to get behind them while Timmy kept them locked down with shots and Denny would triangle them and wed all push them together. Conversely if we got locked down wed haul ass to the opposite side of the map lol Also, always rush their heavy. Always. If you have golden gun, save it for heavy round. Most fireborn sunsingers we've faced also saved their super for this round and golden gun is the perfect counter. When in doubt get to the beach and regroup. In the end its all based on a game to game basis and what your teammates strengths are, and how you can synergize.

Team shooting. We seemed to win more when we rushed the other team with blink-shottys

Edited by DENZELJADELI: 5/25/2015 2:22:20 PMWe never lost a round where we rushed their heavy. Edit: You're also at a big disadvantage if you don't have a gunslinger on your squad. It's a free round.
