That's because on revolvers, once the round is fired the cartridge stays inside the cylinder until you remove them, they do not extract or eject in their own.

Wait... what? I was talking about the fact that there are no forward-facing holes for the rounds to leave the cylinder and enter the barrel... I wasn't referring to spent casings.
