Your over analysing this, firstly it's a futuristic FPS "GAME" it didn't have to represent real life in face it would probably be a bit dull if it did. I suggest you go play something like Battlefield if you want something that represents actual guns

I never said it had to represent real life. If it did, I'd probably be complaining about the fact that Hawkmoon can hold 13 frickin' shots... but I'm not. The precedents are already dictated by the design of other weapons in the game. The fact that some don't follow suit is irritating. It shows a lack of thought/care went into the design.
