These guys are awesome... (Trials of Osiris)
I just completed my very first Flawless run of the Trials of Osiris less than an hour ago on my Warlock. Hadn't had any success recruiting randoms, so I post a thread on the forums begging for help from Flawless players.
A lot of random jerks gave me the usual "git gud scrub" BS, but a few guys actually said they were willing to help... and the one I ended up with? Turns out he and his friend have completed Flawless runs of the Trials of Osiris over a dozen times. Basically, after they did it on all of their characters, they went on to helping other players to complete flawless runs of the Trials; in fact, I think they went straight to helping another player right after they finished with me.
I don't know about you, but I think that is AWESOME, and incredibly selfless that these guys would spend their whole weekend just helping other players to beat Trials of Osiris. I'd give a proper shout-out to them, but there's that rule about not posting other player's gamertags on the forums...
Kudos to my new friends for helping me out. Couldn't have done it without you boys.

3 RepliesI will/have helped reasonable crucible players through flawlessly. A lot of people requesting help are hopeless. They ask for help with a .3 k/d in Trials. Most weekends I am on late at night, and provided I am done with my runs/helping my friends I am willing to help out.

1 ReplyNobody is being "carried". I greatly appreciate the people that do these things for others, especially because if you aren't a god of a pvp player most people will kick you out of their lobby. People focus way too much on the level a person is, or the weapons they use, rather than the individual behind all those meaningless details. If you find a team that communicates well and actually accepts you as a player, despite your level or weapon rank, that's when you go flawless.
