Can you farm the PoE level 34 for the elder cipher?
Please reply if you know you can or have farmed and gotten the elder cipher.

5 Repliesi may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure that only your first 34 and 35 boss kill, per character, has the chance to drop the bounty; and your first time opening the treasure chest, whether it be on 28/32/34/35, per character, has the exotic roll which has the chance to drop the cipher.

You can only get it on your first boss kill of the week for both lvl 34 and 35

1 ReplyI can confirm that it is possible to farm for the cipher without doing the whole thing over. We killed the lvl34 Boss and the cipher dropped for me. His detainment-cages killed my whole fireteam while he was in his death animation and we had to do the round over again. This was a coincidence though.

3 RepliesTO ALL THE IDIOTS WHO SAID YOU CAN"T GET THIS FROM THE CHEST. You can, however, it is not yet the actual bounty. It is a coin, that you have to turn into variks to get the first stage of the bounty. So yeah, I guess you can't get it from the chest. Not the real thing, but they are pretty much the same......

4 RepliesThere is nothing that would make me want to farm 34. Beat it tonight for 1st time after a couple hours. It was satisfying, but once a week x3 is plenty thank you.

18 RepliesYes you can. I got the elder Cipher on my second run of the level 34 poe. It is not a boss drop, you get it from the Queen's chest, So i would recommend having a key with you.

The actual bounty drops from the boss on 34/35 the one that drops from the chest is a step for the bounty

5 RepliesYes u can. My buddy got it after doing the lvl 34 5th time on the same character. But it seems like its really rare. I did 3x28, 3x32, 3x34, 2x35 and i got one. Pretty happy with that. But on my second character i did not got the shader and ship and I had place for them and opened the big chest. And yes it was done the first time on this character.

you may get the elder cipher 2 times from both the 34 and 35 PoE that means one character can get 4 elder ciphers in a week but thats it

2 RepliesCan someone set this straight for me I've heard you can't get it after your first try and I've heard you can farm it. I've heard it only comes from the chest and that it only comes from the boss and I've heard you can get it from both. Which ones are correct!

According to Planet Destiny's article on the elder cipher, you CAN farm for it. I tried for a good while with no luck, but if I get it today, I'll let you know. :D
