I lagged out of my friends prison of elders, now I can't join cause it's about to end? What the damn hell is this?! Bungie please fix this oh my god we 2 man the damn thing. All of it to waste. This is horse shit

You can join back or be invited back but only if your team back in the airlock, not while they are still fighting. They would have to wipe for you to rejoin. Its happened to me twice now.

Exact same thing happened to me on 34. Its total bullshit. You dont get a checkpoint so why the hell cant i be invited back? Shit, even on crota you can be invited right before u kill him. And theres at least checkpoints on that. I hate this game more and more.
