[i] [/i] [i] [/i][b]RANT INBOUND[/b] --------------------------------------------------- [u]This is to those of you who don't like religious, political, moral, etc post.[/u] Assuming most of you are from the United States (as am I), you are one of the biggest problem with society. Those topics are all very serious topics that are the foundation for an individuals beliefs and how they act. By not wanting to talk about topics that actually matter you display the following: 1) [u]All you care about is yourself[/u] There is much more to life than your neighborhood, your city, your state, your country. Many people in America have no clue what goes on outside of what directly impacts them. This sort of selfish behavior is a detriment to society and shouldn't continue but we are at a point where "Ignorance is Bliss" has now become the majority. For example, if we were on the verge of World War 3 I guarantee most Americans would be more aware of what the Kardashians or the Housewives of (insert location here) are up to compared to global conflicts. 2) [u]Too lazy to think about anything serious[/u] Another issue is how lazy a lot of people are. People don't like to think. Quit being lazy and use your brain. There is more to life than your immediate surroundings and ignoring the world is not very smart. We have complex brains and are the most intelligent creatures on the planet (thats debatable). Reality TV honestly makes it hard for me to believe we are at the top of the food chain on this planet. But whats more alarming is how many people eat it all up and are so invested in it. Don't get me wrong everyone needs to get away but the issue is a lot of people are completely unaware of global & national politics, dislike controversial topics that make you think, and thats not okay. I am not saying everyone needs to know everything thats going on in the world but it would be nice to not see so many people be like "stop talking I don't want to use my brain". "I don't care because it doesn't affect me". 3) [u]This is what off-topic is for[/u] Off-topic in a bungie forum means anything not pertaining to bungie content. Religion, politics, morals etc. fit off-topic. [b]This is what off-topic is for.[/b] 4) [u]If you don't like those type of post don't acknowledge them or reply to them[/u] By responding to those type of post all your doing is bumping it for more people to see. If you don't like them, mute the user, hide the post, and eventually they will stop appearing.
