Version 1.0.6.0 has now been submitted for certification. It should be available soon, hopefully in time for the new expansion. Here's a run-down of what's new in v1.0.6.0:
Advisors page
The 'Progressions' page from 1.0.5.0 has been redesigned and renamed to 'Advisors'. This page features three pivot tabs: Progressions, Missions and Factions.
The Progressions tab displays:
- Glimmer, Vanguard Marks and Crucible Marks
- Weekly Vanguard Marks and Weekly Crucible Marks
- Golden Chests found per destination
- Trials of Osiris Passage Wins and Losses*
The Missions tab displays special events, daily missions, weekly missions and Raids:
Special Events
- Xûr, Agent of the Nine (including his current stock)
- Iron Banner (including your current rank and reputation)
- Combined Arms
- Salvage
Daily Missions
- Daily Heroic Chapter (including modifiers)
- Daily Crucible Playlist
Weekly Missions
- Weekly Heroic Strike (including modifiers and completion status for each tier)
- Weekly Nightfall Strike (including modifiers and completion status)
Raids
- Vault of Glass (including completion status for each tier; doesn't show checkpoints)
- Crota's End (including completion status for each tier; doesn't show checkpoints)
The Factions tab displays a list of all factions (including Queen's Wrath and House of Judgement*), your current rank, reputation and the reputation requirement for attaining the next rank.
Support for new activities
With this update, I've added support for the Iron Banner and Arena* activities. You'll see these show up underneath the 'Activities' header on the homepage once you've participated in one of these activities. Trials of Osiris* activities will also appear, though support for this was added in 1.0.5.0.
I am aware of issues regarding Weekly Heroic Strike and Weekly Nightfall Strike activities not appearing. This is due to a bug on Bungie's side and their implementation of how these activities show up in the API keeps changing. I plan to address this later on once the situation has stabilised.
'House of Wolves' app theme
To celebrate the imminent launch of Expansion II: House of Wolves, this update also features a brand-new 'House of Wolves' app theme. To switch to this app theme, simply navigate to the app settings by tapping the 'Settings' link in the app's navigation section. Then, tap 'SWITCH THEME' and select 'House of Wolves'. Let me know what you think of the new theme :)
Upgrade stat impacts
For talent nodes that affect a weapon's stats (stability, range, magazine size etc.), the impact of these stats will be shown in the details popup for that node.
Side Arm stats
The activity type stats screen will now show kill statistics for the new Side Arm* secondary weapon type introduced in the House of Wolves expansion.
Crash fixes
This update also includes a few fixes for common crashes experienced in 1.0.5.1. I've included additional error handling which should result in friendly error messages instead of app crashes in the following scenarios:
- when Destiny servers are down for maintanence
- when a user changed their Xbox Gamertag (or linked it with a new account in relation to the recent switch of Xbox account authentication on Bungie.net)
On Friday 17 May at ~9am PDT, the Destiny 1.2 patch went live. This brought a number of backend changes as to data is exposed via the API which Destiny Stats utilises. The addition of the new 'Ascend' node on Legendary and Exotic gear caused the app to crash at startup for anyone who had this tier of gear equipped. This crash has been resolved in 1.0.6.0.
The patch also caused some gear items that are currently (pre-HoW) maxed to no longer have a gold border anymore. I suspect this is due to the addition of the new 'Ascension' feature and should be resolved after the launch of the expansion.
Developer update
The nature of developing an app with live data that's controlled by someone else (Bungie) is that these sort of breaking changes are common. Long-time users of this app have almost certainly experienced numerous crashes. I'm still figuring out the best way to communicate and address these sorts of issues in a timely manner.
My initial solution was to do PSAs of app crashes in this Bungie.net forum group and display announcements inside the 'News' section. That obviously isn't very useful though if the app crashes before you can get to the 'News' page though.
My current thoughts are that I'll start announcing such things (as well as development progress and updates) on Twitter. You can follow me @vivekhnz. This is obviously decoupled from the app and more immediate than writing a forum post. I'm also thinking about sharing update notes on the /r/DestinyTheGame and /r/windowsphone subreddits.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can improve communication regarding this app though, please let me know in the comments below or send feedback to destinystats[at]outlook.com.
Finally, if you like what I'm doing with the app, please consider donating via the 'About' page. Any donation is greatly appreciated :)
*As this relates to new House of Wolves content, I haven't been able to test this feature. Hopefully it all works fine, but there's a chance this could work incorrectly or even cause the app to crash after the expansion drops on Tuesday. I'll make sure to rectify any of issues once I'm able to test with live data.

Uninstall and reinstall the app to fix the advisors page crash Other issues: -Arena mode History doesn't show -Please add Prison of elders to weekly activities and whether or not each level had been completed (like raid or nightfall) Still a great update! You should get with whomever made the Tower Ghost for destiny app and implement inventory moves in here. Pretty sure it's just a website wrapper making the same calls as you would via the website. Has handy features, like moving directly from character to character (which actually just does a vault move then character move all in one)
